neanderthal seeks human.jpgSynopsis: There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn’t know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can’t help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can’t afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn- the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies- to make her an offer she can’t refuse.

5 Stars!

First of all I love the name and I love the cover of this book too! It’s cute without being cheesy. And the title is a bit misleading. Read it and you will see why.

This story has a very slow build but the simmer of emotions is really well written, I didn’t get bored which sometimes I do with a slow simmer.  The interactions were original and funny without being to mainstream or overdone.  I really loved the quirkiness of Janie, I loved how she would throw out random factoids when she was nervous that had nothing to do with the conversation taking place at the time.  It was a tell of hers.  I loved her tallness, she was just very real.

Quinn understood her nervousness and had his own quirkiness. He was the strong silent type, standoffish but it wasn’t overdone.  And I enjoyed how they were open and honest about the path they would take in their relationship.  This book was great and I think there is a second book and I‘m totally gonna read it because I need to know what happens.
