Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

We missed last week b/c I was gone on vacation the week before, and I just couldn’t get my butt motivated, and Curly Carla was celebrating Memorial Day, so this is our haul for the past two weeks.

  • Cross Check (Bayard Hockey #2) by Kelly Jamieson from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases July 25th, 2017.
  • Vanishing Act by A.M. Madden from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases June 20th, 2017.  This is an author that will be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October, but I’ve never read her.  So I figured why not start now?
  • Ready to Run (I Do, I Don’t #1) by Lauren Layne from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases August 22nd, 2017.  A favourite author whose ARCs can be hard to get, so I was excited to be approved.  She will also be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October.
  • Sunlit Surrender (Bandicoot Cove #4) by Jess Dee from Entangled: Scorched (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — releases June 12th, 2017.

ARCs from Authors/PR Companies:

35276925

  • Paper Cranes (a Fairytale Twist Novel) by Jordan Ford — expected release June 23rd, 2017.  No preorder yet, and the cover reveal is coming soon!  In this case the title link goes to Goodreads.
  • Perfectly Oblivious (The Perfect Series #1) by Robin Daniels — released May 31st, 2017.  I actually received this ARC a few weeks ago, but it didn’t have a cover, release date, or Goodreads entry, so I held onto the review at the time.  You can read my review here.

Preorders That Went Live:

351665073522358133119387

  • A Girl Like Me (Like Us #2) by Ginger Scott — released May 26th, 2017.  This book actually could have been in two categories, this one and the ARCs from Authors/PR Companies one (from Wordsmith Publicity), b/c I got the ARC the previous week, and then my preorder came through.  It totally lived up to my expectations, you can read my review here!
  • Stage Kissed by Cassie Mae & Kelley Lynn — released May 30th, 2017.  This is another book that could have been in the ARC category (from Tulip Publishing) as well as this one.  It’s so adorable, read my review here!
  • The Way Back Home by Carmen Jenner — released May 30th, 2017.  This is another author that I’ve never read, but will be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October, and it was on a release sale of 99 cents, so I said yes please!  It’s still on sale too!

New Releases:

34229481

  • Fix Her Up (The Fix #1) by Carey Heywood — released May 24th, 2017.  I received an ARC and you can see my review here, and since it was on a release sale of 99 cents (still on sale), and I enjoyed it, I said yes please!

Book Outlet:

  • Searching for Beautiful by Nyrae Dawn — I haven’t read this one yet, but this is one of my favourite authors, so it was a no brainer.  When we were in Niagara Falls for the Romancing the Falls event, I begged Brett to go to Book Outlet’s brick and mortar store.  It was pretty sweet, with some great deals, but I probably would have gone crazier if I was the type of reader to read really popular books.  If you’re in the neighbourhood and read more traditionally published books, there’s a lot of great deals.

Got It On Sale:

  • Objects in Mirror (Stonegate Series #1) by Tudor Robins — I received an ARC of this book in March, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.  But when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was free from its usual $3.99, I snatched it up.  It was just a one day sale.
  • A Songbird Novel Box Set: Fever, Bulletproof, Everything & Home (Songbird #1-4)  and A Songbird Novel Box Set: Geronimo, Hole Hearted & Rather Be (Songbird #8-10) by Melissa Pearl — In celebration of the conclusion of the Songbird series, Ms. Pearl is hosting a Read-A-Thon of this series that started this week and goes for 10 weeks.  And before the Read-A-Thon could start, Ms. Pearl put each of her 3 box sets on sale for only 99 cents from their usual $5.99 to make it accessible for anyone to join in on the read-a-thon, which is so cool!  Even though I already have all the books, I bought the first and third box sets so I could declutter my Kindle.  I missed the deal on the 2nd box set b/c it was a countdown deal, and those apparently don’t work for non US/UK peeps.  Ah well.
  • The Bad Boy Reformed Series: Complete Boxed Set (Bad Boy Reformed #1-3) by Alyssa Rae Taylor — I read book 1 in this series a while ago and remember enjoying it, so when I saw this set on BookBub for $1.99 from its usual $6.99, I figured I would go for it!

  1. I’m listening to Fallen Crest Public right now! I’m making my way through the series and can’t wait to read Fallen Crest Home. I will be buying it, too!
