Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Note: I missed like the whole month of August.  So it’s kind of a big haul…

  • Secondborn (Secondborn #1) by Amy A. Bartol from 47North — released August 1st, 2017.
  • Rebel (The Renegades #3) by Rebecca Yarros from Entangled: Embrace (Entangled Publishing LLC) — released August 28th, 2017.  This could have gone under the preorders that went live section too, since I preordered it.  I signed up for a blog tour on this one as well, and so look for my review on Tuesday (hopefully)!  And read my review for book one, Wilder, here.  This author will also be attending Apollycon 2018 in Washington, D.C. next March that I’m going to.
  • Totally His (Opposites Attract #3) by Erin Nicholas from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) — releases October 31st, 2017.  I’ve read the first two books in this series and loved them (read the reviews for Completely Yours and Forever Mine), so I needed to read Sophie’s story.
  • Elliott Redeemed (Preload #2) by Scarlett Cole from Swerve (St. Martin’s Press) — released August 29th, 2017.  I read the first book in this series and loved it (see my review for Jordan Reclaimed), so I needed to read Elliott’s story.
  • Unspeakable (Beyond Human #2) by Nina Croft from Select Otherworld (Entangled Publishing LLC) — releases September 25th, 2017.  I read the first book in this series and enjoyed it (see my review for Unthinkable), so I needed to know what happened next.

  • If Ever by Angie Stanton from Give Me Books — released August 21st, 2017.  This one also could have gone under Preorders That Went Live, b/c I can never resist a release day/preorder sale!  This book was AMAZEBALLS.  I finished later than I’d wanted, but you can read my review here.
  • Temporary by Sarina Bowen and Sarah Mayberry — releases September 12th, 2017.  This one I actually won from the Ms. Bowen, b/c in a weird twist of fate I was able to guess who her mystery co-author was going to be before it was announced.  It was honestly a fluke, I just remember being excited when I found out she was also a fan of Ms. Mayberry and knew her, so I threw it out there.  So yay, ARC for Lenore!!  I’m hoping to get a partially signed paperback copy in October at the Big Apple Author Event, where Ms. Bowen will be signing.

Preorders That Went Live:

35631666

  • Royally Mine: 22 All-New Bad Boy Romance Novellas by Various Authors — released August 22nd, 2017.  I bought this one pretty much exclusively for Katy Regnery’s new short story Shear Heaven, part of her Modern Fairytale series.  This one was on a pre-order sale for 99 cents, but it’s now $6.99.

New Releases:

  • Catching Cooper (Red Maple Falls #4) by Theresa Paolo — released July 29th, 2017.  This one was on a pre-order/release day sale of 99 cents, but is now back at its regular price of $3.99.  I’m still collecting this series.  Someday.
  • Perfume Therapy by Kirsty McManus — released August 8th, 2017.  A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I read another book by this author (Zen Queen), and really enjoyed it.  The author contacted me to let me know about this book coming out and offered me an ARC, but I was just too swamped.  BUT it was on a release day sale for 99 cents, so I snatched it up!  It’s back to regular price at $2.99.

Had To Get The Next In The Series:

  • #FinishLine (GearShark #5) by Cambria Hebert — So Ms. Hebert is going to be attending the Big Apple Author Event in October, and I’ve desperately been trying to read towards it (and failing).  So I recently decided I needed to finish this series, so had to get this final book.  While I didn’t enjoy it as much as the rest of the series, it was still great (see my review here).

Got It On Sale:

  • 180 Seconds by Jessica Park — I read a NetGalley ARC of this book and loved it (see my review here), so I immediately put it on my wishlist.  I’m also hoping to procure a signed paperback copy since this author will be attending Book Bonanza next July (which I managed to score tickets to).  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $4.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett — This is another author who will be attending Book Bonanza next July, and I’ve read one other book in this series and enjoyed it, so I’ve been collecting them (see my review of Max).  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 cents from its usual $5.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • Lights, Cowboy, Action by Cindi Madsen — I really love this author, and am looking forward to seeing her again at Apollycon 2018 in Washington, D.C. next March.  I actually already own this novella in an anthology, but when eReaderIQ told me it was on for free from its usual 99 cents, I figured why not?!  No longer on sale.
  • One Good Reason (Adamson Brothers #2) by Sarah Mayberry — I actually have the paperback copy of this book, but since I read almost exclusively on Kindle nowadays, and I haven’t read this one yet, when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • The Problem With Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout — This author is the mastermind behind Apollycon, and will also be attending Book Bonanza next July. So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 from its usual much higher price (it’s currently at $7.74, but it seems to vary), I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • The Ghosts of You and Me by Kelly Oram — One of my favourite authors and this is her latest release that I hadn’t managed to purchase right away.  It worked in my favour since I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99!  It’s now at $2.99, so still a good deal.
  • The Hearts Series (Hearts #1-4, 5.75) by L.H. Cosway — This author is attending the Big Apple Author Event in October, and I’ve yet to read any of her standalones.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this bundle was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $5.99, I said SCORE!!  No longer on sale.
  • Tanner (American Extreme Bull Riders Tour #1) by Sarah Mayberry — I read a NetGalley ARC of this book and enjoyed it (see my review here), so when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was free from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters #2, Addicted #2.2) by Krista & Becca Ritchie — I actually have a signed paperback copy of this book from when I met the twins at the Emerald City Author Event in 2016, but I hadn’t read it yet…since, again, I prefer reading on my Kindle.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • With a Twist (Bad Habits #1) by Staci Hart — Another author attending the Big Apple Author Event in October that I’ve yet to read, but I believe this book has been recommended to me.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was free from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked!  Still free!!
  • Celebrity Superhero: A Kpop Romance by Jennie Bennett — I’ve been really enjoying these Kpop romances, even though I have no interest in Kpop (see my reviews for Kidnapped Idol and Undercover Fan), so when I saw this book was on for free from its usual $2.99 in My Book Cave email, I jumped on it!  No longer on sale.
  • Dr. OB (St. Luke’s Docuseries #1) by Max Monroe — This is an author I haven’t read but has been recommended to me, and I recently saw that they will be attending Book Bonanza as well, so when I saw this book in my BookBub email on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • January Girl (Wilder Irish #1) by Mari Carr — I read and loved the original Wild Irish series, and this is the spin off series about the children of those couples.  I wishlisted them, and when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked!  Still on sale!
