Blurb:

Crank is a standalone romance in a new small town, blue-collar series from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke. Join readers everywhere as they fall in love with the delicious Gibson Boys.

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can’t buy her way out of.

As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she’s in trouble. It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem.

The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.

He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why won’t he give in?

The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.

My Review:

Really liked the twist in this one, had no idea it was coming and that almost NEVER happens.

Sienna is well rounded and smart.  I enjoyed her sassy mouth but it was tempered by her incredible sweet side.  I think she may have used money as a crutch but it was all done for the good of others so I couldn’t really fault her for it.  She just had a very caring personality, and she didn’t let petty shit change the way she responded to people.  Something I constantly aspire to in my personal life.  For instance when she was not speaking to Walker, she didn’t use that as a reason to avoid his family when they made plans with her.  I really liked that part.

Walker was an average male lead in my opinion.  He was broody, had a bad attitude, was possessive of Sienna before he even had her, and was just an all around alpha asshole.  And while he did evolve and eventually grow into a deeper character, Sienna was the shining role in this book.  Which I find odd since the title is clearly focused on the male role in this series.

I’ll probably read more of this series in a bit, since its technically a stand alone I’m not in any hurry to re-enter this world for a while.

Favorite Quotes:

Narrowing his eyes as he undoes his belt, he licks his lips for my benefit. Not wanting to give up all the power over an orgasm, I pop up on my elbows. “How do I taste?” I ask. His hands falter for a moment before he nods his head. “Like a girl who hasn’t been fucked enough.” “I’d say that’s true.” The belt comes off with a snap. “It’s your lucky day then, Slugger. I’m about to fuck you into tomorrow.”
