Blurb:

I'm SO over that gorgeous, scary, heartbreaking man who hates my guts. I'm just counting on him to save my life.

Never, ever fall for your brother's hot older friend. I flunked the test the instant I laid eyes on Landon Strauss. Tall. Ripped. Commanding. Irresistibly alpha. He gave a damn like no one else did. His soul-searing eyes saw me, not just a nerd girl next door. I had my idol, my destiny, and names for our future kids picked.

Then I read Landon's little black book. One nosy peek exposed the shock of a lifetime. His confession. His pain. His plan. The sweet boy I loved was gone. Hero-turned-villain-turned-bad-memory overnight.

Five years later, an insane slip of fate puts us under the same roof. Sweet closure, I think. I almost forget he hates me. I almost think we'll talk like normal adults. I don't expect the shirtless behemoth who comes barreling through my door. Landon's grown up. All snarls, testosterone, and lethal chemistry. We're in trouble, he says. Oh, Landon. Oh, baby, don't I know it?

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow – a tale of two hearts torn, stomped, and dragged through the mud. An uber-alpha protector bent on reclaiming his nerd next door. Full length romance novel with a Happily Ever After worth a “hell yeah.”

My Review:

Favorite Quotes:

White-hot fury burns through me, scouring me hard enough that there’s no doubt about how I feel about her. No doubt that whatever I fuck up, whatever I ruin, I’ll always come back to her. She’s a riptide, constantly pulling me under, and I’ll sink away and drown before I come up for air.

I could love him through anything, I think. Past any pain. Past any shadows. Past hell itself.

“My type’s right here. Only type I’ll ever need.” With a growl, I lean down to capture her lips. Just a quick taste, like sugar on my tongue, but I’m already sparking hot and needing to be away from this ruckus.

So this one was par for the the course. It entertained me but it didn’t blow me away and I’ve been finding that a lot lately.  Maybe I’m being too hard on these books, but when I keep reading the same thing over and over, it gets tired and makes me want to stop reading or only read bestsellers.  Which is not really how I roll. I guess I just need to switch genres again to change it up.  Anyways…..

Back to the story, Girl falls for brothers best friend, but best friend feels betrayed by a past icident and holds onto his hatred like a child.  Until they are all grown up and he is suddenly physically attracted to her.  Then everything changes.  Blah blah blah, yada yada yada.  ::yawns::

The chemistry was on point I tell ya!  They had some super steamy scenes.  But the plot was lacking IMO.  It was totally fluff to get them together.  I will say this, the climax was pretty intense and was written beautifully!  Add more action like that in the begnning and I’ll read more from this author.
