Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Books I Purchased:

  • Endless Magic (Star-Crossed #4) by Rachel Higginson. I bought this book on my friends account and she let me use it but I wanted to own my own copy so yeah. I’ve read this book about 4 times I think because its a go to when I’m in a reading slump.

Got It On Sale:

  • Lulu’s Cafe by T.I.Lowe. I am a fan of this author so when this went on sale I snagged it. Still free as of today.
  • Felony Ever After by Helena Hunting and 12 more authors.  I love Helena Hunting so I got this as soon as I saw she wrote part of it. I didn’t realize at the time it was also written by 12 other authors who include: Debra Anastasia, Nina Bocci, Vi Keeland (I think I’ve read her before), Penelope Ward (I KNOW I’ve read some of hers before), Leisa Rayven, Liv Morris, Tijan (I love her too), JM Darhower, Bella Aurora, KA Robinson, SM Lumetta and Katherine Stevens. I think this is still free as of this posting.
  • Sleepless (Bird of Stone #1) by Tracey Ward. Author Theresa Kay PM’d me this book was free and I should read it so I immediately got it.  She has excellent taste in books.

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Hiding Lies (Eleanor Ames #2) by Julie Cross from Entangled: Teen (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — releases April 17th, 2018.  I read the first book in this series and thoroughly enjoyed it (see my review for Chasing Truth), so when I got an email from Entangled that book 2 was available, I hit request!
  • Marek (Cold Fury Hockey #11) by Sawyer Bennett from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept)  — releases May 22nd, 2018.  I’ve read a few books in this series, and I keep collecting them because I’ve enjoyed them (not to mention this author will be at Book Bonanza).

Borrowed From The Library:

  • Autoboyography by Christina Lauren — So I have these 2 paperbacks for authors that will be at Apollycon, but I hate reading paperbacks now…how will I read at night in bed?  Or while eating lunch?  And my arms will get so tired!!  #firstworldproblems  But the Kindle books for these 2 paperbacks are WAYYYYY above my $5 Kindle price threshold…  ie. I’m cheap cheap cheap.  If it was like $6, I might suck it up, but one of them is $10.95 US for me (even though it’s $7.99 US for actual Americans).  And my principles are just like NOPE!!  But now I’m stuck right?  So I finally decided to suck it up and see if my library had the ebooks…at which point I discovered that my library card is SO OLD that I had to go in and get a new one.  AFTER ALL THAT, both books are freaking out!!!  Are you kidding?  What are the odds?  So I placed them on hold, but there’s no way they’ll become available before Apollycon in a week.  But then I was curious what the ebooks would be like from the library, so when I saw this one (that I’d been curious about, but which is $12.78 US for me) available, I figured why not.  I’mma start it next.  Then I’ll probably suck it up and read those darned paperbacks.  *grumble grumble*

Got It On Sale:

  • Fallen Heir (The Royals #4) & Cracked Kingdom (The Royals #5) by Erin Watt — So after reading and really enjoying the first 3 books in this series, I scrambled to see if these two were still on sale.  I’d gotten an eReaderIQ alert that Fallen Heir was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99, and I’d also seen the series sale advertised in the Apollycon attendee group on Facebook.  Cracked Kingdom is a new release, and it’s still only $2.99… I’m assuming it will go up in price to match the others, but not sure.  The sale for the rest of the series is essentially over (it’s over for US, but my Canadian self still sees Broken Prince and Twisted Palace on sale for $2.72 instead of $4.99.  I probably won’t get these read before Apollycon, but I knew I’d be too curious to see what Easton’s tale holds.
  • Franco (Bright Side #3) by Kim Holden — So I still haven’t read a single book by this author, but everyone and their dog LOVED Bright Side, and I think I already have it.  I saw a review for Franco when it released (probably from Deanna @A Novel Glimpse), and it sounded great so I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, I snatched it up!  Still on sale!  Also appears other books by her are on sale, so perhaps I should go get any others I still need…  This author will be at Book Bonanza too!
  • The Locksmith (Mindjack Origins #5) by Susan Kaye Quinn — I actually haven’t read this series yet, but I have quite a few of the books.  This is one of those novellas that expand the universe, and Ms. Quinn’s newsletter informed me it was free for a short time so I snagged it.  It may or may not still be free.
  • Sleepless (Bird of Stone #1) by Tracey Ward — Theresa Kay got to me too.  đŸ˜›Â  Free from its usual 99 cents.
  • Back to the Start Box Set: Five Full-Length Novels by Aly Martinez — So this is like a set of the first books in 5 of Ms. Martinez’s series, and I think it’s brand new so I have no idea what the normal price will be, but it’s 99 cents at the moment.  This author will be attending both Apollycon and Book Bonanza, and I saw this on the Book Promotion thread in the Apollycon attendee group on Facebook.  I’ve only read a short story by this author (though I LOVED it), and I actually have 2 of the 5 books already, but that’s still 3 books for 99 cents, which is a steal.
