Synopsis: Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can’t believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

Last book in the series! I finally finished it!
I think I have issues with finishing series. I was a little let down with how the book ended. It was a great book and a great ending. But I don’t know; I guess the climax is what kinda killed it for me. The other four books built up on each other and this one seemed to switch it up out of nowhere. To focus on the aliens as the enemy instead of the government. Which was what the previous books had as the main focus.
It seemed last minute to me. I was all wondering how they were going to get and stay away from the government and BAM, other aliens came swooping in and stealing their thunder. Maybe it’s because it’s the closing of the series and not just a book and I have higher expectations, IDK.
It had a great “love conquers all” theme going on but I was way more into the action and the struggle in this book. The love kept becoming the focus and it kept getting in the way of the war that was fast approaching.
I’m glad I finished it, I may have to read it again to catch any nuances I might have missed.
Congrats on sticking with it and finishing a series!
sounds intriguing and congrats on finishing the series =)
