Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

  • Pirates of Venus (Venus #1) by Edgar Rice Burroughs. This is April’s book in my Decades of Sci-fi challenge so I bought it. Only a buck!
  • Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas. A friend of mine told me I should read this, so I listened and bought it. See Caylie, I take recommendations!! Hehe.

  • Who She Was by Stormy Smith — releases May 4th, 2017.  I’m part of the Rebel Writers Street Team, of which Ms. Smith is a member, so I was able to sign up for an ARC of her upcoming contemporary novel.  I’m very excited to dive into this one.

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Holding (Playmaker Duet #2, Prescott Family #3) by Mignon Mykel — released on March 28th, 2017.  Last week I snagged book one and one of the prequels on the recommendation of a fellow blogger.  So I figured I’d preorder this one on the assumption I enjoy it.  *fingers crossed*
  • The Opposite of You (Opposites Attract #1) by Rachel Higginson — released on March 30th, 2017.  I got the chance to beta read this book, you can read my review here.   It was freaking amazeballs.  I adore this author.

Won It:

29353356

  • In Your Dreams (Falling #4) by Ginger Scott — I’ve read the first three books in this series and truly loved them (in fact, book 1 was the first book I ever read from Ms. Scott), but I haven’t had a chance to catch up with this unexpected 4th book.  So when Ms. Scott had a contest on her Facebook page, I eagerly entered!  And I won!!!  So excited, will be reading it this month in preparation for meeting Ms. Scott in May at Romancing the Falls!

 Got It On Sale:

  • Undercover Fan: A Kpop Romance Book by Jennie Bennett — Again, this author is part of a group I’m in and I truly enjoy interacting with her.  I still haven’t read any of her Kpop books yet, but when I saw this was free on My Book Cave Team email from its usual $2.99, I snagged it.  Sale is now over.
  • Openly Straight (Openly Straight #1) by Bill Konigsberg — Curly Carla sold me on this book in her review here.  So I put it on my wishlist.  And I got an eReaderIQ alert earlier in the week that the price had dropped to 99 cents from its regular $5.99, but it kind of got lost in the shuffle.  Luckily my co-pilot posted it on our Facebook page and reminded me, so I snagged it!  Still on sale!
  • The Prince & The Player (Dirty Players #1) by Tia Louise — This author is going to be at both the signings I’m attending this year (Romancing the Falls in May and Big Apple Author Event in October).  And I was sort of interested in this one after Curly Carla read it (see her review here), but I’d also seen some mixed reviews, so I decided I didn’t need more books.  But then I saw it on my BookBub email for free from its regular $4.99 (I think), so I figured I couldn’t lose.  Still on sale!

Pirates of Venus sounds like a good one. I like the cover. Very simplistic. Who She Was also sound really good to me. I hope you all enjoy your new books! Thank you for sharing. Have a great week.

    • I do two things. I made shelves on Goodreads, one for ereaderiq and one for bookbub/my book cave team, and add to the appropriate shelves when I get the book. And then when writing this post, I also search for the book title in my gmail to remind myself what the price differences were (though usually I have to look in the trash b/c I’ve deleted those emails).
