Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Curly Carla’s Haul
(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)
Preorders That Went Live:
- Anything But Extraordinary (Extraordinary #1) by Mary Frame — released November 9th, 2017. I LOVE Mary Frame so I had to pre-order this one.
Samples I Purchased:
- Making You Mine (The Moreno Brothers #5) by Elizabeth Reyes. She will be at Book Bonanza 2018 and I liked the sample so I bought it and haven’t regretted it one bit.
Got It On Sale:
- Breakfasts in Jars cookbook: Healthy, Quick and Easy Mason Jar Recipes by Louise Davidson. I love mason jars so I thought this could be cool to try.
- Moonshade (Vampire Conclave #1) by S.J. West. I saw that this was on sale in a FB group I am in and I liked the title and blur so why not? It’s still on sale till the 12th of November so go snag a copy.
- Being Thankful: Thanksgiving Stories for Children by Arnie Lightning. I thought this could be cool to read with my kid. Still free!
Lenoreo’s Haul
(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)
NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:
- Runaway Groom (I Do, I Don’t #2) by Lauren Layne from Loveswept (Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept) — releases January 30th, 2018. I still have to read book 1, but I’m very excited to dive into this series!! Her ARCs are very hard to get approved for, so yay me!
ARCs from Authors/PR Companies:
- Enchant (The Enchanted Series #1) by Micalea Smeltzer — releases November 17th, 2017. I actually won this ARC in a contest in Melissa Pearl/Jordan Ford’s fan group on Facebook! That cover is STUNNING and I’m super intrigued! I don’t read nearly enough non-contemporary books.
Preorders That Went Live:
- Anything But Extraordinary (Extraordinary #1) by Mary Frame — released November 9th, 2017. Curly Carla LOVES this author, so when I saw this new release had a preorder sale price of only 99 cents, it was a no-brainer. It’s still 99 cents in fact. I just read and discovered it’s a 3 part series though, so perhaps I should preorder the other ones now too…
Purchased:
- Love in the Friend Zone (Grad Night #1) by Molly E. Lee — I finally got around to reading my ARC of this one, and enjoyed it so much I figured I’d snag the final copy!! Read my review here.
- Just One of the Boys by Leah and Kate Rooper — I am RARELY too impatient to wait for a sale, but I just keep seeing this one and I keep wanting it, and finally I just said fuck it…it must be mine. Let’s hope it lives up to my internal hype!
Got It On Sale:
- Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik — I recently bought a paperback version of this book through Book Outlet, but since I prefer reading ebooks, I’ve been watching that price. So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $5.24, I one-clicked! Still on sale!
- Crushing on Kate (Red Maple Falls #2) by Theresa Paolo — As I’ve mentioned in previous Stacking the Shelves, I’ve been collecting this new series by Ms. Paolo, but I missed this one. So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, and then also got Ms. Paolo’s newsletter that announced a huge sale on a few of the books in this series, I said SCORE!! The sale is still on, you should check it out! The first 4 books are on sale (book 1 free, book 2 99 cents, book 3 $1.99, book 4 $2.99, all from their usual $3.99).
- I Temporarily Do (Cordially Invited #1) by Ellie Cahill — I’ve read and enjoyed books by Ms. Cahill in the past, so when I saw this one on both my BookBub and My Book Cave Team emails, on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, I figured why not! I love marriage of convenience tropes!
- Christmas Nights (Diamond Creek, Alaska #6) by J.H. Croix — Spotted this on my BookBub email for free (I think it’s usually $3.99), and it sounded cute! And I’m still hoarding Christmas books for the HoHoHo Read-a-thon I’m currently participating in, and for my 12 Books of Christmas Challenge coming up later in the month.
- Santa’s Secret (Christmas Wishes #1) by Serenity Woods — Another Christmas freebie spotted on BookBub (usually $3.99 I think). MOAR HOARDING.
Looks like great hauls for both of you. I see some new holiday books for your reading pleasure too.
1. I love that Elizabeth Reyes series!!!
2. I am now running to NetGalley for that Lauren Layne book!!!
