Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl in which you make a list of ten to do with a certain topic.  This week’s topic is “Bookish Resolutions/Goals.”

Curly Carla’s Top Ten:

  1. I would like to devote more time to our blog, putting up more reviews. Like three or four a week if I can.
  2. I would like to learn the ins and outs of the new website we are using. I just got good with the free one. If only there was a class I could take…
  3. I really want to do well on our Finishing the Series challenge since it’s the first time we have ever hosted a reading challenge.
  4. I want to finish all the challenges I started this year. (This one’s a stretch LOL)
  5. I’d like to read more outside my usual genres of Sci-fi/fantasy and contemporary. I feel like my tastes are changing and I may be getting bored with the same old same old.
  6. I want to convince my daughter to write some reviews for our site. We already read classics together; all she needs to do is write what she thinks of them. Maybe I could put together a questionnaire for her to fill out.
  7. I think reading more books on my Top Ten Tuesday categories would be cool. I hate when I make a list then it just falls to the wayside.
  8. I really want to go to more book events. This year I have two I’m planning on going to. I’m hoping to keep that number for next year as well.
  9. I want to make some swag for our site for when we travel to book events we can promote ourselves. Like business cards, t-shirts and buttons to give away.
  10. Read more books!

So have you made any bookish resolutions or goals for 2018?

Yeah, I have a hard time letting them go. I just love to challenge myself too much I guess. đŸ™‚

Very nice goals! Love the one where you and your daughter read the book together and then you talk her into writing a review. Fun thing for mom and daughter to do. And more book events. Yes. Me too!

Thanks. She loves to read and last year we our library did a summer book bingo that she really enjoyed. Hope you get to ALL the book events!

Thanks! We just moved from the free website to the paid one and it’s totally different! I’m not super tech savvy so it’s been an ordeal.
Good luck with figuring out blogspot!

I LOVE the idea of having your daughter write some reviews. I did that once on my blog and it was so fun. Too bad mine’s a teenager now and way too busy with school and clubs to even *think* about helping me out. Darn kids — why do they have to grow up??

Good luck with your resolutions. Happy TTT!

LOL, I know right? Mine’s nine so she still thinks I’m cool and wants to be like me so it’s not to hard to get her to participate.

Thanks! This is my third year doing more than one reading challenge and it has been….well challenging. đŸ™‚

  3. These are all great goals! I like making Top Tens but I totally agree that it’s kind of a bummer to make a list and then that be it. It’s just a lonely ole list. Hope you accomplish all these goals this year đŸ™‚

  4. Love your goals! They look doable though still with a bit of challenge. I really need to learn more about the ins and out of my website (and I’m still on the free one!) too. I tend to do things last minute and in a panic and it’d be nice to actually know a bit more. That’s fantastic that you and your daughter read classics together! Hopefully you can talk her into doing some reviews.

You can start by trying to get a ticket to Book Bonanza 2018. Cause ya know, I’ll be there and we can do a visit. đŸ˜‰
