Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Rebel Heart (Rush Duet #2) by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland.

Kindle Unlimited:

  • Five Dares by Eli Easton. After reading Robby Riverton: Mail Order Bride and LOVING it (see my review here), I knew I had to read more by this author.
  • Midlife Crisis: another romance for the over 40 by L.B. Dunbar. I read After Care by this author and was floored by her talent (see my review here), so I had to get me another one to read.

Got It On Sale:

  • Taking Chances (The Davis Twins #1) by Ann Omasta. This was an impulse buy, saw it on FB and one clicked. However, after reading the blurb, I’m not so sure I want to read this after all.
  • Lost & Found (New York Knights #1) by Anna B. Doe. I think Lenore is rubbing off on me. I have a weakness for sports romances now.  While I got this book free on sale, it is currently available via KU as well.
  • Playing the Game (York Bombers #1) by Lisa B. Kamps.  I don’t know if it’s perma free but it’s been free for a while now. Again, sucker for a sports romance. 🙂 Thanks Lenore!

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • Loving Irish (The Summerhaven Trio #3) by Katy Regnery — releases June 11th, 2018.  I just finished this one and truly loved it, look for my review coming soon!

Preorders That Went Live:

Had To Get The Next In The Series:

  • The Queen and the Cure (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles #2) by Amy Harmon — I read The Bird and the Sword in preparation for stalkingmeeting Ms. Harmon at Book Bonanza, and LOVED it (see my review here).  So of course I had to get the next book.  I’m probably reading it next.
  • Prom Night in Purgatory (Purgatory #2) by Amy Harmon — Another case where I read the first book in preparation for Book Bonanza, LOVED it, and immediately got the next one (especially since this wasn’t a series of standalones, but a continued story).  See my reviews for Slow Dance in Purgatory and Prom Night in Purgatory.

Got It On Sale:

  • Turn the World Upside Down by Nyrae Dawn — So Ms. Dawn is one of my favourite authors, so I have an eReaderIQ alert for her author name, so I get a notice whenever any of her books drop in price…it helps me to buy ones I don’t already have, and know of sales I can share on our blog Facebook page.  So I got an alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $5+, so I didn’t even think and bought it.  Except, then I went and looked at my Goodreads and I’d marked it as already purchased.  And so I went to my Amazon Contents and Devices and sure enough I’d already bought it.  So WTF?  Why did Amazon let me buy it again?  Did it get rereleased?  But honestly, I don’t even care.  It’s 99 cents.  So now I have 2 copies.  I read a super early copy a long time ago and never reviewed it, so I might reread it during June or July for my Platypire Diversity Reading Challenge.  All this to say this book is still just 99 cents, and it’s a great LGBT read!
  • Just Jilted by Cindi Madsen — This is another author that I have an author eReaderIQ alert for!  And so when I got an alert that this one was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $5.99, I snatched it up!  I actually had a free copy of this for signing up to Ms. Madsen’s newsletter, but I like having the official Kindle copy.  I read it earlier in the spring, see my review here.  Still on sale!

Prom Night was good!! But you have to read Slow Dance in Purgatory first, it’s not a series of standalones.
