Blurb:

Were-tiger Adrian Merino is determined to see the newest shifter on the block, Mandy, become his mate. But it’s got to be her idea first… Can he convince her that what he wants is what she wants, too? Or is Mandy too stubborn to see what's before her whiskered nose?

This 15,000 word Midnight Liaisons novella was originally published in ON THE GROWL.

My Review:

Ok, bear (bare?) with me while I try to remember this story. Its been a while since I read it but I remember thinking she was kinda a brat about being turned.  She was very bitter about it and refused to shift, as if that was some kind of punishment to her other pack members. News flash, it doesn’t hurt anyone but you.  I get her feelings after being tricked into becoming a tiger shifter, but instead of going through the usual stages, you know betrayal to acceptance, she stays stuck in bittertown.  And I found that to be incredibly immature on her part.  And she was kinda  bitch to everyone just because of one person’s screw up.  I’m not down with that.

Maybe I’m just a silver lining kind of girl but if you can’t change it, there’s no reason to keep dwelling on it.  Deal with it and move on.  And she just couldn’t.

Plus I found that the only reason she could finally move past it was because of someone else.  I don’t know but that left a bad taste in my mouth that she couldn’t do it on her own.  Jeez, maybe I need to change the rating I gave this.  Sometimes when it’s been along time after I read a book and I’m reviewing it, I can only remember the parts I didn’t like.

Oh well, I liked it enough to read the rest of the series so that tells you something, yeah?
