Blurb:We went through all that just to be strangers again.
Carter Flynn might love me.
But I'm done with him.
He may well be the sexiest man I've ever been with, but he has a dark side.
It's a hard decision, but I say this relationship is over.
Carter begs to differ.
I just embrace my new life in New York as a dancer.
It goes smoothly until Carter sees me walking home one morning...after I've been out all night at the club with a new man.
If we have a happily ever after coming to us, I sure can't see it.
I skimmed most of this book because I just needed to get closure after the degrading hate sex from the previous book. I wanted to make sure that Lacy didn’t fall back in to Carter’s trap. Just cause he went to like two therapy sessions doesn’t mean he has changed that fast. That shit takes time, years even.
This book was unnecessary IMO, it could have been put together with the first book. I think this one was better than the first because Carter did show a lot of development, the problem was, I didn’t believe it. He was all soft and kind but it was too fast for those deep changes.
And Lacy is one stupid cookie for taking him back so fast. He asks her to go on a trip outside the country to meet his dad after not seeing her for like 6 months!? Gimme a break! And she falls for it. Ugh, terrible herione. Anyway, I don’t know if I will be reading any more by this author if these are the kinds of books he writes. Not really my style.
Well, maybe it is since I read both back to back. I just really hate Carter.
Yeah, this doesn’t sound good at all.
