Blurb:

She was supposed to kiss her crush under the mistletoe. She didn't expect to kiss his bad-boy twin.

When Raven Rodgers finds out her longtime crush is back in town, she's convinced her bad luck with guys has finally changed. That is until she mistakenly kisses her crush's twin brother, Logan Carmichael, who has been her sworn enemy since childhood.

But it's been eighteen months since she last saw Logan, and he claims he's not the same guy she used to hate. When they're thrown together for a Christmas charity event, Logan seems determined to prove he's nicer than he used to be. But can a bad boy really change his ways enough to change her heart?

MY MISTLETOE MIX-UP is a standalone novella in The Ridgewater High series, a collection of simmering YA contemporary romances. If you like sweet romance with ballad-worthy chemistry, swoony kisses and endearing characters then you'll love Judy Corry's latest book.

My Review:

Favorite Quote:

“I’m a recovering alcoholic.” An alcoholic. The words stuck in my mind. I’d heard of people being called alcoholics before, but in my head they were all middle-aged, angry men who abused their families. They weren’t incredibly handsome and vibrant teenage boys. They weren’t people like Logan.

I loved how this one wasn’t just about romance.  It had a deeper message that I quite frankly loved.  Not a lot of people talk about teenage drinking but its kind of a big deal.  I remember when I was in HS and there was a recovering alcoholic in our grade.  Everyone didn’t believe her or made fun of her (Not me) about it. So I can kind of related to how closed off Logan was about his past and how he guarded his heart as well.

Raven was pretty superficial at first but her growth skyrocketed after hanging out with Logan.  I loved how she was so open-minded about herself and there were some great self-reflecting in this book.  It was nice to see a beta boy bring that out in someone, without even meaning to.  And I felt kind of bad for Raven with her nickname that pretty much gave herself.  You could tell she started to feel differently about herself after being around Logan.

They were so cute together.  From the ice cream shop to the swimming and the dance.  Their interaction were so easy going yet charged with chemistry.  It was some serious cuteness overload.  And I enjoyed every moment of it.  I can’t wait to read more from this author.
