One night. No strings attached. What could go wrong?

Cooper I was pretty happy living the carefree life of a successful bachelor. Money to spend, a revolving door of women, no commitment, no relationship troubles—it was perfect. At least, that’s what I thought until I held my friends’ newborn baby in my arms, and she smiled at me. That was the moment I realized what life was all about. That was also the moment it occurred to me I needed a baby mama—stat. So… the hunt is on for the perfect candidate. But first, I might have to have one last fling—you know, go out with a bang. Literally.

Kate Thanks to making a few wrong decisions along the way, I’m now busting my ass waiting tables while putting myself through college. It’s not ideal, but I’m determined to stand on my own two feet and take care of my responsibilities the best I can. But I’m still a woman. I have needs. I just don’t have the time for any kind of commitment. Naturally, when a smoldering hot Marine offers me a no-strings-attached one-night stand, I’m all on board. Turns out… he wants more than I’m willing to give.

My Review:

A bit let down with the female MC as she was constantly second guessing herself and deliberatly confusing Cooper. It was super annoying.  Not to mention I skimmed the last bit because she was so crazy that I felt she wasn’t good enough for Cooper.  I don’t know what he saw in her aside from great sex.

She seemed to have trust issues and she was very uppity, demanding and selfish.  And I didn’t get why she was that way, her past doesn’t speak to her current attitude.  She made him bend over backwards to please her and when he didn’t she would get mad and threaten to break up with him.  She was confusing and assumed he knew what she meant when she said the opposite.  Honestly, I felt bad for the guy.  I would have dropped her in a heartbeat if it was a guy acting out of pocket like that.  And I hated the way she tried to use sex as leverage in their relationship.

Now he was no angel, he didn’t listen as much as he should have in the beginning.  But I can see why he wouldn’t when she was saying one thing then doing another.  So I gave him a pass for some of that.  But I think he confused sex with love.  I didn’t feel any kind of depth to their relationship.  It was real fast and mostly physical.  Not gonna be reading anymore in this series.  It’s too bad because the first half was decent but the second half tanked.
