Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • Top Secret by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy from Nina Bocci PR — releases May 7th, 2019.  I’m reading this now, and I just forgot how much I love the way this duo writes together…

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Bay Breeze (Summer Nights #1) by Sandra Marie — released May 1st, 2019.
  • Birth of a Baby Daddy (The Baileys #3) by Piper Rayne — released May 2nd, 2019.  I had mixed feelings about book 2, which was the first I’d read by this duo, so I didn’t sign up for an ARC of this one.  But it sounded intriguing, so I figured I’d preorder it and give them another shot.

New Releases:

  • Fluffy by Julia Kent — released April 30th, 2019.  I keep seeing either Facebook Ads for this one, or my fave authors are talking about it.  And come on, that title and that blurb?  I couldn’t help but one-click, even though I don’t think I’ve read this author yet.  Fingers crossed.

Gifted/Won It:

  • Mr. Fixer Upper by Lucy Score, narrated by Natalie Duke — So recently the Romance Audiobook Binge group on Facebook that I’m a member of reached 1000 members, and they had a whole bunch of giveaways.  I try to only enter giveaways for books that sound interesting to me, and this one sounded fun!  And I won!  Woop woop!  I almost forgot to redeem my code, b/c we went on our trip to Boston, wouldn’t that have been horrible?

Newsletter Freebies:

Audible Romance Package:

  • Indebted (The Premonition #3) by Amy A. Bartol, narrated by Emily Woo Zeller — I keep trying, and failing, to finish this series.  I LOVE the first book, but I become conflicted by book 3.  Since Ms. Bartol is going to be at Penned Con, I figured I’d give the audiobooks a try.  I need to reread at least this one before finally getting to books 4 and 5.  Wish me luck!
  • Hopeless Magic (Star-Crossed #2) & Fearless Magic (Star-Crossed #3) by Rachel Higginson, narrated by Bailey Carr — So last week I threw my back out, couldn’t go on bookclub/girl’s weekend, was depressed, and came down with a horrific cold.  I couldn’t concentrate on reading *anything*, and I tried and DNF’d a few audiobooks.  I decided to go to a tried and true favourite series and see if the narrator worked for me, and since I already had Reckless Magic, I gave it a try…and I remembered how freaking much I LOVE this series.  And since the whole series is in the Audible Romance Package (which I love btw), I’ve been basically binging the series all week.  I’m on Fearless right now.  I never want to put it down.

Audiobooks:

  • Hopeless Magic (Star-Crossed #2) by Rachel Higginson, narrated by Bailey Carr — You know when you have a fave author and you want to give them all your money?  Well, after I listened to this on ARP, I bought it because it’s only $1.99 Whispersync Add-On.  I’ll probably do that with the whole series.

Purchased:

So the 7th Annual Mental Health Awareness Month Book Fundraiser benefiting the Keith Milano Memorial Fund at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is on for the entire month of May, where certain authors have agreed to donate the proceeds from the sales of certain books to the foundation.  So you can bet your ass I found something to #1click4charity.  Click on the link above for more information and for the list of books/authors.

  • Anton (Chicago Blaze #1) by Brenda Rothert
  • Going Long (Waiting on the Sidelines #2) by Ginger Scott

Got It On Sale:

  • Bring Down the Stars (Beautiful Hearts #1) by Emma Scott — I think I probably saw this one in a Shameless newsletter…for free from its usual $3.99.  And I one-clicked before I remembered that I’d read some reviews and concluded this one probably wouldn’t be a match for me.  Ah well, it was free…but it’s not anymore.
  • Pipe Dreams (Brooklyn Bruisers #3) by Sarina Bowen — This is another one of those authors I follow on eReaderIQ, and I read and loved this book as an ARC.  So when I got an alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $7.99, I one-clicked.  Still on sale!
  • Huge Deal (21 Wall Street #3) by Lauren Layne — Yet another author I follow on eReaderIQ, and while I have yet to read this series, since it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $4.99, I figured I’d chance it.  Still on sale!
  • Good Girl by Jana Aston — I have never read this author, and I’m uncertain if my humour will be a match, but this one in particular has been recommended by many.  So I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.49 from its usual $3.99, I figured I’d take a chance.  Still on sale!
  • The Playboy (Hot Aussie Heroes #3) by Madeline Ash — What seems like AGES ago I read a Christmas book by this author and loved it…and it referenced couples from other books, so I wishlisted a bunch.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $2.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale!

  1. I felt the same way about Top Secret! I missed them writing together.
As for that Emma Scott book… that one wasn’t my favorite, BUT I liked the second book in the duet a lot. It made reading this one worth it.

Hmmm, I will definitely keep that in mind! She’s supposed to be at Shameless, so I want to read some of hers. But I might start with something else first, because I have a few from her.
