Blurb:Our world is being judged and we remain unaware.
In a world filled with people, Gabby is uniquely alone. The tiny glowing sparks filling her mind that represent the people around her, confirm it as does the bizarre inexplicable draw she has on men.
Struggling to find an explanation for her sight while dodging unwanted male attention, Gabby meets Sam. The chance encounter leads to a startling revelation - werewolves are real.
Hoping the existence of something so extraordinary might lead to the answers she is seeking, Gabby enters into a hidden society where fur is optional. There she meets Clay, the werewolf delusional enough to think he has a chance with her. Gabby's plans for her future do not include a mate, but rather college, career, and then a huge 'we'll see'.
Gabby leaves the furry hidden society behind when she moves off to college, but trouble has a way of following and finding her. When other werewolves start stalking her, and anomalies in the sparks she sees begin to appear, she must count on Clay's help or risk loosing the chance to find the answers she searches for.
ON REREAD:
4 stars — It’s been a few years since I first tried this series, I think I stopped because the rest of the series wasn’t complete. So I’m finishing the series now, and I honestly felt almost EXACTLY the same as from my original review (which is linked below). I still found the start to be slow to capture me, but holy cow, once I was in, I was IN! I had a bit more patience with Gabby and the lack of details just from having read further in the series and seeing how some of it plays out. While the MCs do change from book to book, this series is VERY interconnected, and CANNOT be read as a standalone.
As with before, I fell in love with Clay again and the adorable slow burn of their romance. He captured me and I fell in love with him right alongside Gabby. It was a great introduction.
COYER Summer Hunt: Read a book that is 1st in its series as indicated on Goodreads — 1 point.

My rating:
Blurb:Clay is a man of few human talents. As a wolf, he hunts well and can fight off a grizzly twice his size, but has no aspirations. The idea of a Mate isn’t something he has ever seriously entertained. Dreamed about, maybe, but he knows the chances are nearly non-existent.
Then he meets Gabby, a human girl. She hates him at first sight, yet he can’t let her go. Who he was is no longer important. Now, who he needs to become to win her over is the only thing that matters.
Note: This is the companion book to Hope(less), book 1 of the Judgement of the Six Series.
ON REREAD:
4.5 stars — I actually enjoyed this book more the second time around! I think that’s because I already knew what to expect from it, and it’s amazing what changing your expectations can do to affect your enjoyment. Clay was just so adorable, I just really ended up enjoying seeing the story from his perspective.
COYER Summer Hunt: Read a book with a man on the cover (and no other people) — 1 point.
