Blurb:While preparing to leave Uttira after graduation, Megan finds the Book of Fury. The answers she's needed about who she is, her purpose, and her powers have been there the whole time, along with a shocking revelation. Now, it's not just a matter of finding Megan's mother. Megan must find the two preceding generations as well, because the book is clear on one thing: there can only be three furies.
4 stars — I’m loving this world that Ms. Haag has created, it’s so intriguing, and I definitely want to be reading more in it!
This final installment for Megan’s story was still a lot of fun, but again…was marred by Megan keeping things from Oanen, making him worry, not allowing people to help her. At least this time she really did need to figure out a few things on her own to find the solution, but her stubbornness is so freaking annoying. Like for realz. It makes me glad her trilogy is over, because apparently she doesn’t learn.
Even with those frustrations, I loved the way the fury stuff ended up going, and how Megan solved some of her issues. It was unique and satisfying, even if the journey had me banging my head at times.
I did miss Uttira, and getting more glimpses of Eliana and Fenris, since this one was set outside the town…but it was nice having more Megan and Oanen time. Despite the communication issues, I really do love the two of them together. And this one just got steamier, their chemistry is fantastic!!
I found the outside mystery plot really interesting, and it makes me wonder if we’ll ever find out more about what was going on with Zayn, what he was trying to achieve. I hope so! I also liked getting introduced to a few more creatures…Piepen was HILARIOUS.
So yeah. Kind of a short review, but really there’s not much to say. For this fan, it was an enjoyable finale. Though, OMG, that epilogue was a tease! I want to know what happens! Bonus novella? 😉
