Blurb:

She was supposed to kiss her crush under the mistletoe. She didn't expect to kiss his bad-boy twin.

When Raven Rodgers finds out her longtime crush is back in town, she's convinced her bad luck with guys has finally changed. That is until she mistakenly kisses her crush's twin brother, Logan Carmichael, who has been her sworn enemy since childhood.

But it's been eighteen months since she last saw Logan, and he claims he's not the same guy she used to hate. When they're thrown together for a Christmas charity event, Logan seems determined to prove he's nicer than he used to be. But can a bad boy really change his ways enough to change her heart?

MY MISTLETOE MIX-UP is a standalone novella in The Ridgewater High series, a collection of simmering YA contemporary romances. If you like sweet romance with ballad-worthy chemistry, swoony kisses and endearing characters then you'll love Judy Corry's latest book.

My Review:

4.5 stars — Wow, another great YA holiday novella!!  Again, touched on some tough subjects and had characters that were so easy to connect with.  Honestly?  This one surprised me with how much I liked it.  I think I was worried about the bad boy aspect…

But Logan was freaking adorable.  I loved that this former bad boy had had a crush on Raven from before, it was just so sweet.  And man, touching on teenage alcoholism?  Very interesting indeed.  I knew that was coming, because of some reviews, but it didn’t make it less affecting.  I just really loved how much depth there was for such a short novella.

Raven wasn’t what I expected at all!  Sometimes I got a bit of a judgey feel from her (what with the ew band geek and such), but I don’t mind that.  I love books that tackle characters on all ends of the social spectrum, because no matter your status, we’re all dealing with things.  I found the whole Rebound Raven thing to be interesting, and how it messed with her confidence.  And intriguing plot element for sure…

The star of this book was 100% the chemistry between Raven and Logan.  I loved the way they teased, I loved that you could tell they gave each other butterflies (even though this was entirely in Raven’s POV), and hoo boy!  Those kisses?  Dynamite!

And now I’m curious about other books in this series.  Definite success!
