My rating:
Blurb:What’s meant to be will always find a way.
Perfection isn’t an illusion.
I met it, held it in my hands.
But then it slipped right through.Perfection isn’t an illusion.
It’s elusive, cleverly evasive, and, in many ways, a horrible tease.I’m not a man to be toyed with.
Quiet, thoughtful, and even sometimes careful,
but never someone to taunt.
Even the most controlled men have a breaking point.
I just met mine. Why mess with perfection?
You don’t.
Unless perfection messes with you. This is book 6 in the GearShark series and is NOT a standalone.
4.5 stars — While I will never sneeze at more books about favourite characters, I was never one of the many fans that kept asking for more #Trewlove. It’s not that I didn’t want more, it was that I was satisfied if that was all I was gonna get. But when I heard there was another book? I was ALL IN like donkey kong…wait, that’s not the saying is it? Anyways, I was super excited. Maybe a teeny bit nervous based on the blurb, but I had faith the story would be amazing. And I wasn’t let down. It packed a huge emotional punch, and sucked me in immediately. It had me gobbling it up so hard I actually biked 5 extra minutes because I was so wrapped up.
Now, that’s not to say the story was perfect or anything…there were parts that felt a bit repetitive, or dragged out or something? But the thing is, I just didn’t care that much, because I loved everything else.
I probably won’t go into too much detail to avoid spoilers…but I still felt like Drew and Trent were who I expected them to be, and I really felt their love for one another, and their struggles with what they were dealing with. I cried, I laughed, I enjoyed seeing glimpses of characters from other books (even books I haven’t read yet). I was super satisfied with how this story showed our characters growing even more.
So yeah, a short review for a longer story, but basically all you need to know is that if you loved #Junkie and #Rev, I think you’ll be happy with this conclusion for the boys.
I need to read this series. All the books sound so good!
