Blurb:Dear Santa,
Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six foot tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it?
Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as-
Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please.

3.5 stars — This is my first book by this author, and in general I enjoy the way she writes, so I’ll definitely be checking out another. As for this story? It was pretty cute. I’m not huge on enemies to lovers, and especially not these weird ones where the heroine can’t even figure out why she hates the guy. I appreciated that her sister called her on her bullshit at the end thankfully, and she got to have her big apology moment.
I enjoyed all the Christmas aspects to the story, and how into it Holly was. It made me get even more in the holiday spirit. I especially loved the weird details about the toy company and the plans coming in the future.
I obviously couldn’t completely connect with Holly, due to all the self-sabotaging going on. And without Nick’s POV, I could only gleam little bits — but he seemed pretty adorable, and I loved the way he was into her and knew her so well. The Christmas market scene and the first kiss were adorable.
So yeah, it was a solid novella…lots of cute aspects mixed with some frustrating ones.
I read this one and it was NOT my favorite. I’ve read a couple of her other books and enjoyed them way more.
