Blurb:As one of the few humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he wants me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako, when all I want to do is grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs.
But I've got a terrible secret - the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone... but can I give up my new life and the man I want more than anything?
4 stars — This one was more my style than the previous one, probably because I could relate to Kira slightly more than Liz. But mostly because Aehako was adorable and hilarious.
I totally got where all of Kira’s stress was coming from, and even though there were times that I started to get tired of her negativity, at least it was something I understood more. I loved that she got a moment to be a badass in this one — that was totally unexpected, but I was really proud of her for it.
Like I said, Aehako was pretty fun. I loved how he countered Kira with his optimism and happiness. At times it felt like he wasn’t taking her concerns seriously enough, but I guess they balance each other off.
And I adored his courtship of Kira. He was so sweet, and I loved when he allayed her fears. I was a bit bummed with how the ending went, but I anticipated it would happen just because of the nature of this series. I guess I kind of wanted them to make it work. And yes, I’m being vague on purpose.
Intrigued what’s going on with Harlow, and where the rest of the series is going to go. I’m still in a bit of a slump, so I might just keep on keeping on…
I liked Kira more than Liz, too. And Aehako’s courtship of Kira was so sweet! I’m addicted to these books now.
YAY!! Me too obviously.
