Blurb:If life really was a fairy tale, Zakara would never be the damsel in distress. She’d be a thief, and Prince Charming wouldn’t have a clue how to steal the heart of the conniving criminal.
Zakara saves not one, but three men locked inside the tallest tower. Her first instinct is to ditch them as soon as possible, but they have one thing that intrigues her more than wealth:
Magic.
Fae magic once ruled the world, until it disappeared without a trace. Only myths of the magic wielders linger in their destroyed society.
The three prisoners claim to be fae, but she doesn’t trust them.
She doesn’t trust anyone.
Can Prince Ryder convince the pretty thief to lead them to the Hopeless City? Or will she kill him before they even arrive?
This is a reverse harem serial. Recommended for readers over 18.
This was a super fast paced romance. There is lots of action as well. I loved this world, and how it was built was simple yet intriguing. There isn’t a whole lot to this plot, which is exactly what I was looking for in this book. I enjoyed the reverse damsel in distress thing in the beginning. I’m a sucker for those. Their romance in this one seemed a bit premature and too intense for me. But I loved how twist in the end. I was not expecting that.
Zakara is kind of a baddass. Too say she is a bit of a loner is an understatement. And she trusts these guys entirely too quickly, personally I think she was thinking with her sex drive. And boy does she have a imaginative sex drive, lol. We don’t get a whole lot of back story from these guys, or to much from her either. But the lack of back story is made up for with the court intrigue and magic that this world has.
