Blurb:

When I wake up on the ice planet, I’m scared of everything: this place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I’m going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister. I’m completely and utterly alone. What’s a girl to do?

Well, this girl escapes.

Of course, that means I go from frying pan into the fire, and my situation gets even more dangerous. Just when I have no hope left, a new hero appears. Sure, he’s blue, horned, and has a tail. He’s also fierce, protective, makes me purr...and thinks I'm perfect.

But is what we have real or just a mating instinct?

My Review:

4.5 stars — Well damn, this was just perfect for me.

Lila is my kind of heroine — starts out timid and awkward, ends up embracing the challenges and adapting.  I loved the way she came into her own when forced out of the protection of her sister.  She learned what she was made of, and it made me cheer.  I even understand her ups and downs as she learned things, and generally didn’t get frustrated with her need to think things through and all that.

And as far as Sa-khui (and yes I looked up the wiki to find out how to spell that) go, Rokan is up there in my favourites.  He was kind, understanding, empathetic, patient…I mean really, for me you couldn’t get better.  I loved the way he earned Lila’s trust, and would truly try to understand things from her perspective.

And even though I had to wait FOREVER for the steam to ramp up, it was pretty sweet once it started.

And it wasn’t just the development of their relationship that made this kind of awesome, there was a lot of action and interesting things happening from a world perspective.  Definitely kept me on my toes.

So yeah, definitely up there in my favourites in this series so far.  I’m wary of Maddie’s story…she’s definitely not the kind of personality I find it easy to connect with.

I love it when the personality of the heroine really clicks with me. Glad you loved it.
