Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, but now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl in which you make a list of ten to do with a certain topic.  This week’s topic is “Frequently Used Words In [Insert Genre/Age Group] Titles.”  Curly Carla chose Paranormal Titles!

Curly Carla’s Top TenThree:

These were the most prominent in my lists, and I wanted to back up the frequently used words with a few examples. However, I know there are many more frequently used words in titles in this genre such as…..Prophecy, War, Fairie. I just don’t want to get examples ya know?

  1. Wolf

  2. Blood

    • Dirty Blood (Dirty Blood #1) by Heather Hildenbrand. The first book in this series is free!
    • Blood Warrior (The Alexa Montgomery Saga #1) by H. D. Gordon.
    • Blood Solstice (The Tale of Lunarmorte #3) by Samantha Young.
  3. Star

So what are some of the most frequently used words that you notice in Paranormal titles?

  1. Is it bad that every time I see “wolf” in the title I automatically skip checking out the synopsis? I guess paranormal romances just aren’t my thing.
