Blurb:

Jolie Louis is a smart girl. She knows that her best friend, Sage Poirier, is a bad idea. He’s a walking, talking cliché. The Adonis quarterback with the bulging biceps and harem of fangirls trailing behind him on campus like a stench you can’t get rid of. Sadly, that’s also the reason she can’t stay away from him. Well, that and the fact that they’re roommates. Jolie is already straddling the line between friendship and more when Sage comes to her with an offer she cannot refuse: be his fake girlfriend and live for free for the rest of the semester. She tells herself that she can handle it. He’s just the boy she saved ten years ago, right? Wrong. So very wrong. He is a man now, and she is his captive Heart, body, and soul…

The End Zone is a novella, originally published as part of the Team Player anthology. The End Zone now includes an extended epilogue, and a bonus, ORIGINAL epilogue for the book Vicious (Sinners of Saint #1), for your enjoyment.

My Review:

Ok full disclosure, I read this back in August.  Yes, this is how behind I am in writing my reviews. But never fear, one a day keeps the doctor away, or is that apples? ::shakes head:: nevermind, moving forward….

I thought this was a full length novel, but thats cool, I like being surprised so I didn’t mind that it wasn’t.  The best thing about this book was there wasn’t a huge need for a lot of backstory, we just got right into the scorching hot romance.  And boy was it scorching!  Like, I’ll NEVER forget some of the things Sage and Jolie say to each other, thats how awesome it was.

Things like: “Because I just fell in love. I’m talking love at first sight. Your pussy is just so darn pretty, I wanna marry it. Can I marry your pussy? The rest of your body can stay single, I swear.”

Riiiight! And Jolie snaps back with her own witty one liners.  I love when a girl isn’t afraid to talk dirty back to a man. We don’t see alot of it in these alpha type romances, and thats a shame, but in this one she holds her own in that department.

I’d like to lie and say this book had lots of depth of character and growth, but well, I can’t.  This book was an ode to sex in the best way.  Their relationship evolved pretty fast due to it, but hey, I like to break up my deep reads with some sexy times now and again.  I’d read another one by this author.

  2. I love that you want to read another book by this author! I loved her Sinners of Saint series. This novella is probably my least favorite, so that says a lot. 😉
