Blurb:Elena Michaels is the world’s only female werewolf. And she’s tired of it. Tired of a life spent hiding and protecting, a life where her most important job is hunting down rogue werewolves. Tired of a world that not only accepts the worst in her–her temper, her violence–but requires it. Worst of all, she realizes she’s growing content with that life, with being that person.
So she left the Pack and returned to Toronto where she’s trying to live as a human. When the Pack leader calls asking for her help fighting a sudden uprising, she only agrees because she owes him. Once this is over, she’ll be squared with the Pack and free to live life as a human. Which is what she wants. Really.
Dude! I watched the first season before attempting to read this book. Usually once I’ve watched the TV version I won’t go back and read it because too may things are different and I always am disappointed. Well, this one went the way it usually does.
I really wanted to see how it was written. I thought “How can you get a shifter book that was turned into a series wrong?” I should have never picked up this book, not only did I DNF it. I stopped watching the show as well, that’s how much it sucked. And I’m not really one of those mean people that tear a book apart, it’s just not my style.
But I was really upset at how much I disliked it. Note to self, DO NOT READ A BOOK AFTER WATCHING IT ON TV!
Oh, that sucks! I really dislike when that happens to me.
Right? I was pretty bitter for a while there. Haha
