Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Gifted/Won It (Secret Santa Gift):

  • The Elite (The Selection #2) by Kiera Cass.  OMG, I’m so excited to start this book next year!  The first one was phenomenal!

Kindle Unlimited:

Got It On Sale:

  • Fury Frayed (Of Fates and Furies #1) by Melissa Haag.  I love this author.

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • Over the Falls (Ryder Bay #1) by Jordan Ford — releases January 2019.  I beta read this one, but apparently there were a few changes, so I think I need to read the final copy before release!

New Releases:

  • Hoops Holiday (Hoops #0.5) by Kennedy Ryan — released December 16th, 2018.  I read an ARC of this one and LOVED it (see my review here), and since it was on a release sale of 99 cents, I snapped it up!  No longer on sale.
  • Diced by Ginger Scott — released December 20th, 2018.  This was a surprise release!  Apparently it was a short story that was previously in an anthology (and one I didn’t own), but it has been expanded.  And a NYE book too, so seems timely!

Gifted/Won It (Secret Santa):

Cassie Mae’s Awesome Nerds group had their Secret Santa, and these are the two goodies that I got from my Santa, Beth!

  • What Happens at Con (Fandom Hearts #4) by Cathy Yardley — I’ve LOVED this series, and just need to read this one and one other novella to get caught up on the series!  So excited!
  • #Vacay (Hashtag #7.5; BearPaw Resort #4.5) by Cambria Hebert — I still need to read the BearPaw Resort series, and probably first, but I was so excited for more Hashtag series goodness!!

Audiobooks:

  • What Happens at Con (Fandom Hearts #4) by Cathy Yardley, narrated by Jay Skelton & Serena St. Clair — The Whispersync add-on was just $1.99, and you can add it on even to gifts, so I did!

Got It On Sale:

  • The Doctor’s Christmas Proposal (The Gallaghers of Montana #3) by Eve Gaddy — This one was Katie @Just Another Girl and Her Books‘s fault, I saw it on her last week’s StS, and it’s still free (usually $3.99 I think).
  • Third Degree by Julie Cross — I’ve enjoyed some books by Ms. Cross, and this one made it on to my wishlist at some point.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked.  Still on sale!
  • The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely — I remember when this one came out this summer, and it just sounded like my kinda book, so I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $7.99, I jumped on it!  Still on sale!
  • What Happens at Christmas by Jay Northcote — I don’t remember how this one got on my radar, but it was on my wishlist.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $2.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale!
  • Tattered (Lark Cove #1) by Devney Perry — I’ve seen quite a few people talking about Ms. Perry, and so when I saw this one on BookBub for free from its usual $3.99, I figured I’d give it a try!  Still free!

I have a beta read to do, but if I can get through it quickly I’m hoping to read Diced for New Year’s! Did you enjoy it? I heard mixed things about the original…

      • I did! It was short and sweet, but I thought I could connect well enough to the characters. I know she added some more to it.
Unrelated, but… You’ve read the Waiting on the Sidelines series right? I just finished an ARC of The Hail Mary. Oh my goodness. I loved it so much. It makes me want to go back and re-read all of the Ginger Scott books that made me fall in love with her writing.

I didn’t download the ARC b/c I didn’t like the first book! And I haven’t read the 2nd one yet. I can’t remember what hit my buttons, but something did. I’m tempted to just try the 2nd book anyways, but I think I remember reading reviews and the issues I had still existed. I should go reread my review. But I’m SO GLAD YOU LOVED IT! I remember that being a fave book of hers for you, so I was hoping it would live up to your expectations!
