Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Kindle Unlimited:

  • Sin & Chocolate (Demigods of San Francisco #1) by K. F. Breene.
  • Drop Dead Demons (Divinicus Nex Chronicles #2) by A. & E. Kirk. This series is action packed and pretty sassy.
  • Gateway for Fourline (The Fourline Trilogy #1) by Pam Brondos. I love this cover, don’t you?
  • A Dance of Silver and Shadow (Beyond the Four Kingdoms #1) by Melanie Cellier.  I love both the title and the cover, I think I saw some reviews of this one and it was what prompted me to read it.
  • Dragon Mystics (Supernatural Prison #2) by Jaymin Eve. I have a like/dislike relationship with JE, I liked this one so I figured I would give the second one a shot.

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Descendant of the Crane by Joan He from Albert Whitman & Company — releases April 2nd, 2019.
  • Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston from St. Martin’s Griffin (St. Martin’s Press) — releases May 14th, 2019.
  • The Wedding Deal (Heart in the Game #1) by Cindi Madsen from Entangled: Amara (Entangled Publishing, LLC) — releases March 25th, 2019.

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • Space (Laws of Physics #2, Hypothesis #2.2) by Penny Reid from Social Butterfly PR — releases March 11th, 2019.  SQUEEEEE!!!!  I’m on the Blog Tour for March 21st, so look for my review then!
  • New Orleans Rush by Kelly Siskind from Social Butterfly PR — releases April 23rd, 2019.

Preorders That Went Live:

  • The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros — released February 26th, 2019.  My first 5 star read of 2019.
  • The Something About Her (Opposites Attract #4) by Rachel Higginson — released February 26th, 2019.  A beta read, and a Lenore book for those collecting… *snort*
  • Behind the Stick (Romance for all Seasons #6) by Sandra Marie — released March 1st, 2019.  I’m reading this one right now!
  • The Impact Zone (Ryder Bay #2) by Jordan Ford — released March 1st, 2019.  Another beta read, another Lenore book.

New Releases:

  • The Risk (Briar U #2) by Elle Kennedy — released February 18th, 2019.  Had an ARC and really enjoyed it, read my review here.
  • Motion (Laws of Physics #1, Hypothesis #2.1) by Penny Reid — released February 11th, 2019.  I was kinda hoping that this series would come out in a boxed set (like Elements of Chemistry), and I was initially waiting to purchase it then.  But I don’t think that’s happening.  And I heard rumour that because the sales for this series are not as good as Ms. Reid had hoped, she’s cancelling the final Hypothesis trilogy.  Which, I get it, but bummer.  I’m seriously a cheap ass with my books, and after learning a bit more about the royalties that authors get, I’ve been trying to change my mindset on what I’m willing to pay for a book.  This is still a bit outside that, but it might just mean I’m more judicious in which books I buy.  It’s a tough industry.

Audible Romance Package:

  • Someone Else’s Ocean by Kate Stewart, narrated by Lila Winters & Jason Clarke — I’ve heard great things about this book, and since this author will be attending Talkbooks Author Event in Boston in April, I thought I might give it a try if I have time.
  • Always Room for Cupcakes (Cupcakes #1) by Bethany Lopez, narrated by Stephanie Garner
  • 8 Weeks (Time for Love #1) by Bethany Lopez, narrated by Beth Stewart — This is another author attending Talkbooks Author Event in Boston in April, so just trying to give myself options.

Audiobooks:

  • Paint the Stars (Free Fall #3) by Christina Lee & Nyrae Dawn, narrated by James Cavenaugh & Ryan Turner — This is a book that I’ve had on my TBR since it came out, and I really wanted to fit it in for my February Diversity Challenge theme of POC: black/african american.  So I grabbed the audiobook since it was only $1.99 Whispersync Add-On, and I loved it!  Review coming soon.

Got It On Sale:

  • A Duke by Default (Reluctant Royals #2) by Alyssa Cole — I forget how I found out this one was on sale, but I’m always looking for more diverse reads, bonus points if it’s also #ownvoices (which this is).  I managed to snag this when it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $5.99.  It’s no longer on sale for me, but might still be for US.

  1. I’ve debated requesting New Orleans Rush. I like Kelly Siskind’s writing, but this one hasn’t really sparked my interest. I’m curious to hear what you think of it.

I will definitely let you know! It’ll be a bit before I get to it, because I’m behind as usual. 🙂
