Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Purchased Paperbacks:

  • She Spoke: 14 Women Who Raised Their Voices and Changed the World by Kathy Macmillan, Manuela Bernardi and Kathryn Honesta (Illustrator).  I read an article on GR about some summer reading for your daughter and this one was in her age range. And I liked how it had little audio snippets from said women as well.
  • Ketofast: Rejuvenate Your Health with a Step-by-Step Guide to Timing Your Ketogenic Meals by Dr. Joseph Mercola and Alan Goldhamer. I’ve been eating ketogenically since December and have dabbled in IF for a few months with great results.  I wanted to learn more before I did any hardcore IF.
  • The Obesity Code: Unlocking the Secrets of Weight Loss by Jason Fung.  I love learning about nutrition and this book was recommended to me by countless keto eaters like myself so I wanted to check it out.

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Justified (Loveless, Texas #1) by Jay Crownover from Forever Yours (Grand Central Publishing) — releases June 25th, 2019.  I really enjoyed the prequel novella (see my review here), so I figured why not continue!

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Maybe Baby (Nerdy Thirties #3) by Cassie Mae — released May 14th, 2019.  I beta read this one, and if you like real characters and a plot that avoids cliches, you really should check it out…

Audible Romance Package:

  • The Relentless Warrior (Star-Crossed #6) & Breathless Magic (Star-Crossed #6.5) by Rachel Higginson, narrated by Bailey Carr & Alex Bloch (for The Relentless Warrior) — I’m taking a break to listen to a Penny Reid read for a reading challenge, but I figured I’d get the next books in my fave series for when I get back to my reread!

Audiobooks:

  • The Reluctant King (Star-Crossed #5) by Rachel Higginson, narrated by Josh Hurley & Bailey Carr — Just like last week, after listening on ARP, I bought it for $1.99 Whispersync Add-On.

Got It On Sale:

  • Caraval (Caraval #1) by Stephanie Garber — Saw this one on my BookBub email, on sale for $2.99 from its usual $7.80, and since I know quite a few blogs that recommend this series, I snagged it.  Still on sale!
  • The Learning Hours (How to Date a Douchebag #3) & The Coaching Hours (How to Date a Douchebag #4) by Sara Ney — While this series never interested me because I don’t really like badly behaving characters, this review from Deanna @A Novel Glimpse convinced me to give at least the 3rd book a try, so I wishlisted it.  So obviously I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, and I one-clicked.  I then found out from either BookBub, or a Shameless deals newsletter that the the first book is free, and books 2-4 are all 99 cents.  I’m going to skip the first two (which I might later regret), because I think they are legit douchebags (and I’m stupidly sensitive), but it sounds like book 4 could still be up my alley, so I’m giving it a shot.  All still on sale!
  • Body Check by Elle Kennedy — I have this one in a Harlequin paperback, and I’m sure I read it a long time ago.  But since I follow this author on eReaderIQ, I got an alert that it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $3.99, and I one-clicked.  Still on sale!

  1. I’m happy my review made you want to read The Learning Hours. I just hope i’m steering you in the right direction with that book and book 4. I think I might have read Body Check before…. I can’t remember!
