Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Curly Carla’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

Kindle Unlimited:

  • Charcoal Tears (Seraph Black #1) by Jane Washington.  I always like the collaborations she does with Jaymin Eve so I figured I’d try her out on her own and I really like it so far.
  • Watercolour Smile (Seraph Black #2) by Jane Washington.  Ok, the first book ended weirdly for me but I am gonna ride this out and see where the next book takes me.
  • Having the Barbarian’s Baby (Ice Planet Barbarians #6.5) by Ruby Dixon.  I love this series.
  • Ice Ice Babies (Ice Planet Barbarians #6.6) by Ruby Dixon.  I can’t wait to read this one. The title is too cute.
  • Broken Knight (All Saints High #2) by L.J. Shen. OMG, this book you guys!  I’m gonna have a serious book hangover after it, I already know. Hope it doesn’t put me in a spiral.
  • Darkblood Academy: Book One: Half-Blood (A Supernatural Academy Series) by G.K. DeRosa. OK, the title is too fricking long but the cover and blurb pulled me in so I can over look it I guess. (Note from Lenore: that’s why I always use the Goodreads titles…then it’s just Half-Blood (Darkblood Academy #1))

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Blitzed (Playbook #3) by Alexa Martin from Berkley (Berkley Publishing Group) — releases December 3rd, 2019.

Preorders That Went Live:

Audiobooks:

So I canceled my audible membership after the free trial was done, and it told me it was going to take away my 2 credits, even though I had one of the credits from BEFORE I signed up for the free trial…total bullshit.  Anyways, I had a hard time finding something to spend my credits on, since most of the books on my wishlist are either in the Audible Escape Package, or have a good Whispersync deal.

  • Wait for It by Mariana Zapata, narrated by Callie Dalton — I’ve really enjoyed listening to Ms. Zapata’s books more than reading them, and this is a favourite of one of my BFF’s, so I went for it.
  • Overruled (The Legal Briefs #1) by Emma Chase, narrated by Jason Carpenter & Charlotte Penfield — I’ve read books 2 and 3, but haven’t gotten to this one yet!

Had To Get The Next In The Series:

  • Fury Focused (Of Fates and Furies #2) & Fury Freed (Of Fates and Furies #3) by Melissa Haag — I gave up on a different series, and decided to try this one instead and was sucked in!  So of course I had to read the rest!  Still have book 3 to read.

Got It On Sale:

  • Rock Bottom Girl by Lucy Score — I’ve seen this book recommended a lot, so when I saw it in my Shameless newsletter on sale for 99 cents from its regular $4.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale in the US I think (not for me anymore).
  • Into the Madness (Villainous Wonderland #1) by A.K. Koonce — This author will be at Penned Con in September, and I saw her talking about this book in the group and I was intrigued, so I wishlisted it.  When I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for free from its usual $2.99, I one-clicked!  Still free!
  • Blood Veil (Mission #2) by Megan Erickson — I enjoyed the NetGalley ARC I read of this, so when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $4.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale.
  • Forever Mine (Opposites Attract #2) by Erin Nicholas — Another NetGalley ARC I really enjoyed, so again, when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked!  Still on sale.
