Blurb:

My name is Vinna and I am a Sentinel. I’m the last in a line of a hunted, magical race, coveted and killed for our power and abilities.I was hidden and protected, but now that I’ve been found, it’s a race to see who can command and control me. Joke’s on them, I bow to no one.I need to master my magic, and protect the five guys I’ve marked as my own at all costs. Because the line between friend and foe is dangerously blurry, and I’m collecting enemies like Sentinels collect runes. It’s time to prepare for battle, claim my place, and get ready to fuck up anything or anyone that comes for me and my Chosen.

Authors Note: This is the second book in The Lost Sentinel Series and ends with a cliffhanger. This book is a medium burn Reverse Harem story, intended for ages 18 years and older. This book contains swearing, graphic sex, and violence.

My Review:

Favorite Quote:

I know what it’s like to talk about something like it’s normal, because it is normal to you, and yet you know the wrongness of it, feel the ache of it, in a way that can never be undone.

Vinna evolves a bit in this story, she becomes more forgiving.  But I still love her stubborness.  It’s not an immaturity flaw like I have found it to be in other books.  Sometimes too much subborness isn’t a good look on the characater.  But she wears it well in this one.

Not a lot happens in this book as far as the storyline goes.  She keeps training and she has to do that with a different coven.  The whole control thing by the Elders is a bit much for me and I think I would have bailed if I was Vinna.  Just because she is the last of her kind doesn’t give anyone the right to tell you where you can live and who you can hang out with. I was shocked when she didn’t just leave. Her coven would have left with her so she needn’t have worried about going it alone.

The new coven clearly is trying to get in her pants, but the way they go about it is different than I expected.  It’s like they are not trying to get romantic with her but instead want to be friends and earn her trust and respect. They don’t coddle her just cause they like her if that makes sense. I gotta say it was kinda hot because her boys seem a bit childish to be honest.

The ending we find out a little bit more about what Vinna is and who her enemies are.  But it’s still a bit murky.  I’ll try the next book.
