Embrace Your fate

It's time.

Evil is running rampant, and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna's great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she's prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

My Review:

5 stars — Welp, I devoured that conclusion.  Super satisfying!  I didn’t want to put it down, and so even listened to it in bed to finish it off.

Erin Mallon has definitely become one of my favourite narrators after listening to her in this series.  She does such a great job with voices and emotions, it just really enhanced my experience with this series.  I can’t imagine consuming it any other way.

There were surprises that I totally didn’t see coming in this book, though I probably should have.  Moments that made me sit up and cheer!  Moments where I swooned.  Moments where I cried devastated tears.  Moments of true fear.  It was everything I wanted in a conclusion.

All the characters were true to who I’d come to know in the previous two books, and I truly felt for so many of them and the tough decisions they had to make, and the heartbreaking moments they had to make it through.  I fell in love with all of them, it was so easy to.

And as far as the bad guys go, and the prophecy, I actually was pretty happy with how that all played out, and felt like it lived up to my expectations.

I loved that we got some aftermath, and an epilogue that just hit me right in the feelz.  I can honestly say that this series surprised me with how much I loved it, and I’m so glad I finally got around to reading it!  Ms. Higgins never lets me down and has definitely made it onto my fave authors list.  Now to consume the bonus book from Kaidan’s POV!
