Blurb:

Shh, I have a secret.

The sinfully gorgeous members of the Student Council—Church, Ranger, Spencer, Micah and Tobias—can't ever find out.

I already get picked on because my father's the headmaster.

I don't need them to know I’m the only girl, too; I’d rather dress like a boy.

Adamson All-Boys Academy now has its only female student, but I'm not about to be their guinea pig.

Not when there's a secret at this school nobody is talking about. Not when the last female student here ended up dead.

***THE SECRET GIRL is a 90,000 word lighthearted reverse harem/high school bully romance novel with a mystery/suspense twist. This is book one of three in the series. Contains foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual.

My Review:

Favorite Quotes:

I hate living in a shitty misogynistic world where girls can’t walk alone, but … it’s kind of a reality, isn’t it? I shouldn’t have to try to avoid being raped—guys shouldn’t rape. But there’s the world we should live in, the world we wish we lived in, and then there’s the nightmare of reality.

Watching adults try to stem the flow of teenage hormones is hilarious. Folks, it’s a losing battle. Be honest, educate, and provide a safe place to talk. That’s all you can do. Stop shaming us: if you give us the tools and the unconditional love, we can figure out the rest.

This story was a bit ridiculous, but in a really good way.  Who, as a parent, thinks it’s ok to dress your child up as the opposite sex, forcing them to BOARD on site with said students and expects nothing to go wrong?! ROTFL I mean, you can’t make this shit up right? And when, surprise surprise, Charlotte (Chuck) does gets threatened, bullied AND assaulted, her dad is a total dick about it.  Either he blames her, or he doesn’t take her seriously, even though we don’t know of any reason not to.  It’s just….so flipping extreme and I couldn’t stop reading it.

Now for the romance part:

These boys are all weird.  The twins remind me of tweedle dee and tweedle dumb, finishing each other’s sentences and making bad jokes.  The student body president is too damn quiet, like he’s constantly plotting to bring a gun to school and shoot it up.  The kid who likes to bake does so nude, wait, I’m sorry, he wears an apron.  I could go on but this review would get really long.  I loved every one of their quirks!   I loved how they straddled the line between redemeemable and irredeemable.  I loved how they show they have feelings for her, and I loved how they all found out she is a girl!

While this book may be ridiculous, It’s entertaining as hell and I’m very excited to read the rest of this series.

Because I already have too many other books to read!! And I’d have to move to amazon.ca, and I’m being stubborn. Maybe I’ll save up a wishlist and get a free trial after Book Bonanza.
