Blurb:

I’m coming after Kreedence. I want him to know what it feels like to live in fear. Just as I did for so many years.
Three dragon shifters and a hellhound should be more than enough help. And yet, I’m seeking out allies in all the wrong places: a prince with resources, a deadly king with power, and a mysterious queen who died decades ago.
New secrets will come to light. They’ll destroy everything I thought I knew about myself and the world around me.
Our secrets will always haunt us.
Or hunt us.
This is a Reverse Harem series containing M/M themes. Recommended for readers 18 and over.

My Review:

Arlow really comes together in this one.  She stops her selfishness and finally realizes that she can’t run from her past.  And she really starts to examine her past love.  I think she was a bit battered and has a touch of stockholm syndrome personally but she seems to be, if not aware of it then working towards that realization.  The prince is a poor unfortunate soul in this and she uses him with no regard for his feelings which I thought was kind of a dick move. But hey, he seemed to know he was being used and his deperation was annoying so I didn’t care that much.

The dragons really start to open up to her and we learn a lot about why they were tasked with finding her and bringing her back.  I don’t think we really find out why her previous lover needs her, I think she fed him power in some way but it’s a bit vague in my mind still.  Anyway, this was way more about the evolution of their relationship than of finding out what the big bad wanted.  It was a bit more drawn out than the first one and I think we needed that to really connect with the characters more.  I will definely be reading more in this series.
