Blurb:

Years ago, the skies ripped open and the world was destroyed in fire and ash. Dragons - once creatures of legend - are the enemy. Vicious and unpredictable, they rule the skies of the ruined cities, forcing humanity to huddle behind barricades for safety.
Claudia's a survivor. She scrapes by as best as she can in a hard, dangerous world. When she runs afoul of the law, she's left as bait in dragon territory. She only has one chance to survive - to somehow 'tame' a dragon and get it to obey her.
Except the dragon that finds her is as wild and brutal as any other... and he's not interested in obeying.
What he is interested in is a mate.

My Review:

Favorite Quotes:

It isn’t in me to cry and weep over my fate. That interferes with getting shit done, and there’s always entirely too much shit to get done.

It was ok, not as good as the Ice Planet Barbarians series. This one was pretty different actually. I didn’t like the way their attraction went about. Usually I like when they have that alone time but their communication was terrible and not endearing. And I while I got their physical attraction I never believed they had anything deeper than carnal. The dragon was too overbearing and controlling. And in the end he never really apologized to her or gave her a choice about becoming her mate, and she just kinda rolled over and accepted it cause he was great in bed. Then she threw her sister and her best friend to the dragons too without trying to help her town to understand how to get the dragons to stop attacking.  The story developed oddly for me, cause there was so much that she could have done but didn’t and I hate when an MC doesn’t take the initiative.  so I probably won’t be reading more in this series.
