Blurb:

This isn’t high school. This is a war zone.

It should be just another year for me at Spring Hill High. It’s not. It’s the first of many years…without my brother.
Fighting back the memories of Brady should be the most difficult thing I have to face while walking the halls of SHH. Instead, those sad reminders become the least of my worries.
My brother’s best friends make sure of that.
They won’t let me heal in peace. In fact, the three star football players—the ones my brother knew all his life—are determined to make me do it their way, or live through hell in the process.
What they don’t understand is, I lived through my brother’s death…that means I can live through anything.

Bring it, hotshots. I’m waiting.

Free Fall is a high school bully romance.

My Review:

First off, let me say I had NO IDEA this was the same author as Uppercut Princess AND The Ballers of Rockport High series. I LOVED both of those series and now I’ve stumbled onto this dualogy too! Now I am actively looking at her other series to read. She is pretty diverse in her writing style, hence why I didn’t realize she wrote those other books.

Anyway, this one was really quite deep and very descriptive of the grieving process. I loved how lost Brair was, her grieving process was messy as heck but we see all of it, not just the bad or the good parts. She goes pretty dark for a while. And Reid, Lex, Jules and Cade are some true ass friends for not letting her stay in that dark place.

Her resistance was fierce and I found myself rooting for her to push them away, cause it seemed like they didn’t realy care at first. I was so wrapped up in her grief with her. I mean, how do you go to back to normal when you are missing a literal piece of your heart? Baby steps are made and we start to see that they were really trying to help her because they love her so much. It was such a touching and deep story or friendship and family and love. I may re-read it again.
