Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews (and co-hosted by Reading Reality) in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston from St. Martin’s Griffin (St. Martin’s Press) — releases June 1st, 2021.

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • Hideaway (Vino & Veritas #8) by Rachel Lacey from Heart Eyes Press — releases April 5th, 2021.
  • Bombshells (Brooklyn #5) by Sarina Bowen — releases April 13th, 2021.

Borrowed From The Library:

Newsletter Freebies:

  • High Heat (Hotshots #2) by Annabeth Albert — This was the March book for the Dirty Boys Book Club, and I want to give this author another shot.

Audiobooks:

  • The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, narrated by Julia Whelan — I actually originally got this from #Libby at my library, but I only had it for 7 days and didn’t finish in time.  So I tried buying it from another vendor, but let’s just say that was a long story with questionable customer service which resulted in a lost book and theoretically a refund.  So I signed up for a free trial for Kobo audiobooks, and used this book as my freebie.  I wanted to see if I will like the app, b/c I am still endeavouring to try to buy as many things outside Amazon/Audible as I can (monopolies 4tl).  I’m at 80%, but that means I still have almost 4 hours left before book club tomorrow.  I’m enjoying it, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if the pacing were faster.

Purchased:

  • Take a Hint, Dani Brown (The Brown Sisters #2) by Talia Hibbert — I eventually gave up on the audio from the library, and was loving the story enough to pay full painful price on Kobo.

Got It On Sale:

  • Playing with Fire by L.J. Shen — My retired blog partner recommended this one to me awhile ago, so I wishlisted it.  I’m not huge on angst, but she knows that, so I’m trusting her.  Got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99 and snagged it.  No longer on sale.
  • Finding Faith (Finding Home #1) by Bridget E. Baker — I honestly don’t remember how this one got on my radar…I think it was a missed BookBub deal or something.  Either way, I wishlisted it, so when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was free from its usual $3.99, I grabbed it on Kobo.  Still free!
  • Getting Lucky (Las Vegas Kingsnakes #1) by Jennifer Lazaris — I read and enjoyed a short story by this author in this universe in the Hockey Holidays anthology, so I wishlisted book 1.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was free from its usual $2.99, I one-clicked on Kobo.  Still free!
  • Any Given Sunday (Wild Irish #7) by Mari Carr — I read this series quite awhile ago, but I think I borrowed it.  So I wanted my own copies eventually for rereading.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was free from its usual $3.99, I grabbed it.  No longer on sale.
  • Dirty Player (Back to You #2) by Mira Lyn Kelly — This is a favourite author of a favourite author of mine, so when I saw it on BookBub, and noticed it was a hockey romance, I figured it was worth checking out for free!  Still free (from its usual $4.99).
  • Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore — Saw this one on BookBub, on sale for $2.99 from its usual $7+ (or more), so I snagged it…got it at Amazon so I could maybe take advantage of whispersync b/c I’ve heard the audio is good.  Still on sale!
  • A Heart So Fierce and Broken (Cursebreakers #2) by Brigid Kemmerer — I took this out from the library last year and never got to it, so when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its regular $7+, I one-clicked.  Still on sale!
  • A Shift in the Water (Elemental Shifter #1) by Patricia D. Eddy — Another one I spotted on BookBub, free from its usual $5.99, and since I’ve enjoyed a military romance by this author and it intrigued me, I snagged it.  No longer on sale.  (though I think the audio is a Chirp deal right now, fyi).
  • Wait for You (Wait for You #1) by J. Lynn, narrated by Sophie Eastlake — I remember really enjoying this book and always wanting to go back and finish the series of standalones…so when I saw it was a Kiss Club book for March at Libro.FM, I snagged it for $3.99 ($2.79 for me b/c I’m a member).
  • Circe by Madeline Miller, narrated by Perdita Weeks — Another book I noticed on sale at Libro.FM for $9.99 ($6.99 for me because I still have a “membership” there), so I snagged it.  It’s been on my radar for awhile, and is a potential for May book club.
