Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews (and co-hosted by Reading Reality) in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Preorders That Went Live:
- Bombshells (Brooklyn #5) by Sarina Bowen — released April 13th, 2021. Loved it. Preordered on Amazon so I could potentially get Whispersync if I want it.
Borrowed From The Library:
- Devil in Spring (The Ravenels #3) by Lisa Kleypas, narrated by Mary Jane Wells — I’m really loving this series. #Libby
Purchased:
- The Shadow and Bone Trilogy Boxed Set (Shadow and Bone #1-3, Grishaverse #1-3) by Leigh Bardugo — I actually had the first book from Audible, but even though there was nothing wrong with the narrator, I found my mind wandering. But I was too cheap to buy the $11 ebook. So I actually went out and bought the paperback. Needless to say reading worked much better, and I figured I’d splurge $20 for the trilogy on Kobo instead of just buying the next 2 books.
Got It On Sale:
- Tough Guy (Game Changers #3) by Rachel Reid — I went through my BookBub emails to clean them out, and miraculously this one was still on sale for $1.99 from its usual $6.99. I’d heard good things about this author’s M/M hockey romance. No longer on sale.
- In the Middle of Somewhere (Middle of Somewhere #1) by Roan Parrish — Another deal found in an old BookBub email, free from its usual $4.99. Still free!
- A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire (Blood and Ash #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout — I think someone in the Garden of Reden group on Facebook mentioned this one being on sale for 99 cents from its usual $6.99, and it must have been a one day deal so I’m glad I jumped on it.
- Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock #1) by Faith Hunter — This book had been mentioned as a recommendation for Native American diversity, so I’d wishlisted it. So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that it was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $7.99, I snagged it (and on Kindle because I might want to whispersync). Still on sale!
- Common Goal (Game Changers #4) by Rachel Reid, narrated by Cooper North — A Chirp deal for $3.99, and still 6 days to go!
- The Legacy Human (Singularity #1) by Susan Kaye Quinn, narrated by Nick Podehl — I really loved this book and have always meant to go back and finish the series…so what better way than to reread by listening? A Chirp deal for 99 cents with 6 days to go. I could have whispersynced it, but a) this was actually cheaper; and b) anything I can do to not buy from Amazon/Audible is a good thing (and it goes for the next 2 books as well).
- The Bird and the Sword (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles #1) by Amy Harmon, narrated by Trina Nishimura — Another Chirp deal for $2.99, 20 days left to go! I wasn’t completely sold on the narrator sample, but I’ll give it a try for that price.
- The Queen and the Cure (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles #2) by Amy Harmon, narrated by Steve West — And yet another Chirp deal for $3.99, 22 days left.
- Written in the Stars (Written in the Stars #1) by Alexandria Bellefleur, narrated by Lauren Sweet — This audio has been on my library wishlist, so when I saw it on sale at Libro.FM for $7.99 ($5.59 for me as a member) I snagged it.
- Be With Me (Wait for You #2) by J. Lynn, narrated by Sophie Eastlake — I recently got book 1 in this series on audio, and have wanted to finish the series. So when I saw book 2 was an April pick for Kiss Club at Libro.FM, I snagged it for $3.99 ($2.79 for me b/c I’m a member).
I will be looking for your reviews on those Vino & Veritas books. I didn’t request anymore. I got burnt out on that series. Out of the 8 previous books, only 3 were ones I loved. I decided to wait and see on the rest. I think the Moo U ones will be what I request unless there is an author I know and love.
I didn’t listen to those Amy Harmon books, but I read and loved them so hopefully they work out.
I actually noticed on the spreadsheet that you hadn’t signed up for any! Maybe I’ll actually review them a bit early, and if there are any standouts I can let you know! 🙂
Yes, do! I would appreciate that!
I need to finish the Shadow and Bone series! I’ve only read the first one. I also need to read the first book in the Jennifer L. Armentrout series, From Blood and Ash. Hope you enjoy your books!
