Blurb:

A prequel novella to The Best Men

Promises I make to myself…

1. I won't stare at my sister's fiance's super hot best friend, even when he takes his shirt off at a dinner party.

2. I won't look him up online and check out photos from his professional soccer career.

3. And I definitely won't fantasize about him late at night.

Oops. Broke all three. But in my defense, his abs and that arrogant smile are my catnip. Plus it's been a while.

But no matter how sexy Asher St James is, I will never let on that he's at the top of a long list of things I want to do.

And I keep that last promise.

Well, mostly…

My Review:

4 stars — I’m intrigued.  It helps that I really enjoy the Teddy Hamilton/Jacob Morgan combo, so it was super easy to listen to.

I’m hoping I don’t get too annoyed by Mark.  Part of me gets where his distrust comes from, part of me is wincing as he steps over lines he shouldn’t cross with his sister.

Didn’t get too much of a feel for Asher, but he seemed fun and confident, not too douchey.

I thought it segued pretty solidly into the main book.  Though part of me wonders how you could leave this out of the main book, so I honestly have no idea what it would be like reading the main book without reading this first.  I was pretty glad to have this initial glimpse into Mark’s relationship with his sister, his past, Hannah’s fast romance with Flip, and Flip and Asher’s friendship.

  1. So I actually read this one AFTER I read an ARC of The Best Men. I have to say, I liked how it started without having read Super Hot Wingman. It made reading Super Hot Wingman after fun. At first, I didn’t think I was going to like Mark, but I actually ended up loving him and he was my favorite between him and Asher. I ended up loving The Best Men. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts after you read it. BUT I completely understand what you’re saying since I would probably feel the same way.

I’ve had prequels that don’t matter and others that do. Always hard to decide where to slip them in. Sounds like a good one for hooking you into the story.
