Blurb:

No one ever comes back for me.

I’ve always been on my own, and why should it be any different on an ice planet? So when I’m kidnapped by a feral outcast, I suspect I’d better learn to love raw fish and rough living.

Then…U’dron comes to my rescue.

He’s always understood me more than anyone else. He’s been my friend and my confidante. We’ve made music together. And now that he’s my hero? The crush I’ve had on him is turning into something more, something deeper. He won’t want me when he hears my terrible secrets, though.

But it turns out that U’dron has a secret of his own…

My Review:

4 stars — Well, Raven wasn’t what I was expecting AT ALL.  Which, was kind of the point…but I have mixed feelings about that, because I enjoyed her persona.  At the same time, I really appreciated the story of the REAL Raven, and how she struggled with letting people see the real her.  I did end up appreciating how strong and sassy she was, how forthright and sex positive.  So in the end, I do like the real Raven.  She was refreshingly different as well.

U’dron was ridiculously easy to fall in love with.  He was so earnest and sweet.  I hated the secret he was carrying, and how it affected him.  It was so hard to understand, and yet I could see how much it shamed him and that’s really all that mattered.

The Outcasts introduction was interesting.  I really loved Pak, he was so easy to fall in love with.  Juth was…well, interesting.  I guess we’ll see how things pan out for them in future books.

All in all, a solid Icehome romance!
