My Review:

OVERALL: 3.5 stars — Not bad for an anthology.  I always expect very mixed results, and I got that.  There were none I hated, so bonus!  My faves were definitely Cake by the Ocean by Cambria Hebert and Falling from Gravity by K.K. Allen.

My Best Friend’s Honeymoon by Grahame Claire
2.75 stars — I read the whole thing because I wanted to know what happened (though I still have questions), but honestly I wasn’t feeling the chemistry in this one.  The disdain felt by Hale and Smithe for one was too convincing, I didn’t buy the transition.

The Anti-Fling by Parker S. Huntington
4 stars — This one had a really strong start, I was sucked in immediately…even if I had mixed feelings about the age gap and stuff, and was confused about the hostility.  But I really felt for Emery and the change in her circumstances. However, the ending kind of fizzled for me…it was good, but I wanted something a bit more. I was anticipating this one being a prequel, but it wasn’t.

Unmoored by Ella James
3 stars — This one was ultimately unsatisfying for me.  It was much more erotic romance, focused on the sex mostly.  The twist was interesting, but ultimately I prefer romances with the possibility of a HEA.

After Party by Nicole French
4 stars — Solid novella.  As with most shorter stories, the romance felt a bit rushed (definitely insta-love-y), but I still liked them together.  I liked how they clashed, but saw beneath the top layers on one another.

Pour Judgment by Heather M. Orgeron
3.5 stars — This one feels like a prequel novella, but I don’t mind those.  It very much had a feel of Spring Break and all the debauchery that goes with that, which isn’t necessarily my thing.  I LOVED that Rhett was so big on complete consent (especially because there was a less desirable throwaway earlier on).  All in all I enjoyed the push and pull between Rhett and Stick, though the steamy scenes didn’t blow me away. I loved inner Rhett, but was less certain about Korie.

Single In Paradise by Leslie Pike
3 stars — Good fling story, just felt like the characters were missing depth, and unlike Natalie, I’m not really into cocky guys.  Parker’s thoughts on his own sexual prowess didn’t work for me.

Lei’d in Paradise (A Cupcakes Series Novella) by Bethany Lopez
4 stars — With the way this one started, I was worried about potential misunderstandings, but it turned out better than I expected!  Makes me think I should look into the series again and give it another shot (just no audio). Carmen was fun, and her flaws were unapologetic, but I felt for her.  I loved the little investigative side story about Boone and Cade’s parents.

Accidental Fling with a Superstar by Sunniva Dee
3.5 stars — Naomi got on my nerves a bit, but Elias was pretty adorable.  I’m tempted to see what comes next.

Bliss on Break by Amelia Wilde
3.5 stars — The animosity and tension between Jaxon and Cecily was pretty hot, but the turnaround at the end was fast and I wanted more depth.

Cake By The Ocean by Cambria Hebert
5 stars — Even though Lauren and Brad were a bit OTT, I just loved Nat and Kyle!  Felt all the emotions, and smoking chemistry.

Falling From Gravity by K.k. Allen
4.5 stars — Dude, so fucking hot!!  Really got sucked in and invested in Amelia and Tobias.  So much great chemistry, and even though I felt satisfied with the ending, you can bet I will be looking for the full length novel!!

Some Beach by Harloe Rae
4 stars — Initially I had a hard time connecting with 2 characters so blatantly looking for sex… just felt so superficial.  But Foster and Harlyn had great steamy chemistry and I enjoyed the cheesy ending.

Flingology by Logan Chance
3 stars — I don’t know.  I figured out the twist pretty quickly, and I had a hard time getting into it after that.  The turnaround at the end felt rushed and unrealistic.

The Accidental Hookup by Claudia Burgoa
3.5 stars — Miller’s transition from asshole to good guy didn’t make sense.  Otherwise great chemistry.
