Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Kindle Unlimited:

  • Trial by Fae (Dragons Gift:The Dark Fae #1) by Linsey Hall.  I liked the cover and the title so I snatched it up.
  • Ice Planet Holiday (Ice Planet Barbarians #5) by Ruby Dixon. I read one of the Icehome books and decided to start at the beginning, not realizing what I signed up for. But its ok, these are easy reads. Sidenote: Goodreads shows this as book 4.5 but on Amazon it is book 5 so I’m going with amazon.
  • Suppressed (Sins of our Ancestors #2) by Bridget E. Baker. The first book was bomb so I grabbed this one.
  • Redeemed (Sins of Our Ancestors #3) by Bridget E. Baker.
  • Keto Meal Prep: Lose Weight, Save Time, and Feel Your Best on Ketogenic Diet by Liz Williams. This book has some really good and simple recipes.  I’m a food prepper so this was right up my alley.
  • Hidden Creek Secrets (Hidden Creek High #1) by Jaxson Kidman.  This book is ok, I like bully romances so I read all the ones I come across.
  • Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley.  I’m already a third into this book and I love the flow of the language, its so pretty.
  • Barbarian’s Prize (Ice Planet Barbarian #6) by Ruby Dixon. These are some cute reads.  Sidenote: Goodreads shows this book as book 5 but Amazon shows it as book 6, again, I’m going with Amazon.

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren from Gallery Books (Simon & Schuster Canada) — releases October 22nd, 2019.

Audible Escape Package:

  • Demon Flames (Resurrection Chronicles #2) and Demon Ash (Resurrection Chronicles #3) by M.J. Haag & Becca Vincenza, narrated by Dara Rosenberg — I started this series before the last StS, and was strangely riveted.  So I got the rest available in audio to binge!  I’m too lazy to link reviews, sorry!  They’re on here somewhere.  Both of these authors will be at Penned Con in September.
  • Switch Hitter (Jock Hard #0.5) by Sara Ney, narrated by Jacob Morgan & Erin Mallon — This author will be at Shameless Book Con in October, and while I’ve had hits and misses with her, I wanted to give her another try.  I actually already read this one and really enjoyed it!!
  • Full Tilt (Full Tilt #1) by Emma Scott, narrated by Nelson Hobbs and Caitlin Kelly — This is another author who will be at Shameless, one who I’ve never read even though she’s been recommended a bunch.  I just started listening, and so far so good!  I’m preparing myself for the feelz.

Audiobooks:

So I don’t actually have an Audible membership, just the Audible Escape Package subscription.  Usually any other audiobooks I get are because of Whispersync deals.  But then in one of the audiobook facebook groups I’m in, they mentioned that there was a $5 sale on a list of audiobooks at the beginning of August, but just for members.  So I finally signed up for my free trial, and then took advantage!  I particularly wanted books that I thought I might enjoy more on audio, for one reason or another.

  • Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles #1) by Kevin Hearne, narrated by Luke Daniels
  • Off to Be the Wizard (Magic 2.0 #1) by Scott Meyer, narrated by Luke Daniels — My hubby and I listened to this one during a road trip, and we just have a bit over an hour left!  Mr. Daniels is doing a fantabulous job narrating!
  • Vicious (Villains #1) by V.E. Schwab, narrated by Noah Michael Levine
  • Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1) by Leigh Bardugo, narrated by Jay Snyder, Brandon Rubin, Fred Berman, Lauren Fortgang, Roger Clark, Elizabeth Evans & Tristan Morris
  • Play (Stage Dive #2) by Kylie Scott, narrated by Andi Arndt
  • Trail of Lightning (The Sixth World #1) by Rebecca Roanhorse, narrated by Tanis Parenteau

Purchased:

  • Unknown (Unknown #1) by Wendy Higgins — I’ve been really enjoying Ms. Higgins books, as she’ll be at both Penned Con and Shameless, so I figured I should maybe try another series of hers!

Had To Get The Next In The Series:

  • Demon Escape (Resurrection Chronicles #4), Demon Deception (Resurrection Chronicles #5) & Demon Night (Resurrection Chronicles #6) by M.J. Haag — Oh yeah, binged the rest of the series.  And the last two books ended up being my favourites!  I can’t wait for more!

Got It On Sale:

  • Falling From Gravity (Gravity #1.5) by K.K. Allen — I’m not sure how I learned about this one?  Since this author is attending Shameless, maybe on that page?  I actually read the novella when it was part of the Spring Fling anthology and LOVED it, but I wanted it on its own.  It was free when I got it, but it’s still worth it at 99 cents.
  • Chasing Crazy by Kelly Siskind — I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read of this author, so I wishlisted all her books.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $3.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale.
  • The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant (Fred, the Vampire Accountant #1) by Drew Hayes — Bekah the Awesome from Platypire Reviews recommended this one, so I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $5.99, I one-clicked!  Still on sale.
  • The Sun and Her Star by Dylan Allen — This author is attending Shameless, so when I saw that this one was free (regularly $4.99) in my Shameless newsletter, I snagged it!  Sale over.
  • Hired (Happy Endings #2) by Zoey Castile — I won a paperback of book 1 in NYC, and then got a NetGalley ARC of book 3, so when I saw this one on BookBub on sale for $2.99 from its usual $9.99, I figured why not?  Sale over.
  • A Tale of Two Houses (Defy the Stars #1) by Susan Harris — This one was full on cover love…I’d seen it on Facebook a few times and been tempted, but when I saw it on BookBub still free, I couldn’t resist.  Still free!
  • Hold Me Today (Put A Ring On It #1) by Maria Luis — While I still haven’t yet read a book by this author, she’s going to be at Shameless, and I’m subscribed to her newsletter.  So I snagged this one for $1.99 (regularly $3.99)!  Still on sale for me, but might not be for US.
