Stacking The Shelves is feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews (and co-hosted by Reading Reality) in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Lenoreo’s Haul

(All Ebooks unless otherwise specified)

NetGalley ARC Requests Approved:

  • Dirty Tactics by Emma Salah from Carina Press (HARLEQUIN — Carina Press) — releases July 20th, 2020.  Am I trying to search out more diverse books?  Why yes.
  • Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron from Bloomsbury YA (Bloomsbury USA Children’s Books) — releases July 7th, 2020.
  • Lobizona (Wolves of No World #1) by Romina Garber from Wednesday Books (St. Martin’s Press) — releases August 4th, 2020.  I’m also trying to search out retellings for my Retellings Challenge bingo.

ARCs From Authors/PR Companies:

  • The Dare (Briar U #4) by Elle Kennedy from Nina Bocci PR — releases June 16th, 2020.  I can’t tell you how excited I was to get this one.  It’s the book I’m reading next, because it comes out on Tuesday!!

Preorders That Went Live:

  • Dirty Charmer (The Bodyguards #1) by Emma Chase — released May 19th, 2020.  See my review here.
  • Always a Bridesmaid (Getting Hitched in Dixie #2) by Cindi Madsen — released May 26th, 2020.  See my review here.
  • Varsity Heartbreaker (Varsity #1) by Ginger Scott — released May 28th, 2020.
  • Royal Bastard (Instantly Royal #1) by Avery Flynn — released June 8th, 2020.  Learned about this one in the Book Bonanza Attendees group on Facebook…for 99 cents, I’m in!

New Releases:

  • Jock Blocked (Copper Valley Fireballs #1) by Pippa Grant — released May 19th, 2020

Borrowed From The Library:

  • Sky in the Deep (Sky and Sea #1) by Adrienne Young, narrated by Khristina Hvam — COYER Book Club book for May!  See my review here.
  • It’s Not Like It’s a Secret by Misa Sugiura, narrated by Emily Woo Zeller — I just reviewed this today, check it out!
  • The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke #1) by Tessa Dare, narrated by Mary Jane Wells — So COYER is doing monthly Book Club’s now, and at the moment we’re reading from 4 different genres (as many as you want, and the genres can change month to month).  This was the June Historical pick, and it sounded cute, so even though Historical’s not my style, I put a hold at the library.  I just started listening today, and I’m already laughing out loud.  A great start!  If anyone wants to join the COYER group, even if you don’t want to participate in the challenge, but maybe the book club or the read-a-thons, check it out here.
  • The Girl the Sea Gave Back (Sky and Sea #2) by Adrienne Young, narrated by Caitlin Kelly & Dan Bittner — Another June COYER Book Club pick, the YA read.  It’s only sort of a sequel to Sky in the Deep, more same world, not a continuation of the story.
  • Kiss Collector by Wendy Higgins — ROFL.  I forgot I requested this.  I have a paperback copy, but I prefer reading on my Kindle…but since it was $10, I figured I’d recommend my library buy it.  And months later they did…

Got It On Sale:

  • Storm and Fury (The Harbinger #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout — Lillian @Mom with a Reading Problem raves about this series (see her review here), so when I saw it on BookBub for $1.99 from its usual $9.99, I snagged it!  No longer on sale.
  • Aurora Rising (The Aurora Cycle #1) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff — Saw this one on BookBub for $1.99 from its usual $9.99, and it sounded interesting.  Glad I snagged it, because it’s our June Sci-Fi pick for COYER Book Club!  No longer on sale.
  • Spin the Dawn (The Blood of Stars #1) by Elizabeth Lim — 1) Saw this author’s name on a list of AOC.  2) Saw this book on a list of Mulan retellings (again, for my Retellings Challenge Bingo).  So 3) when I saw it on BookBub for $2.99 from its usual $9.99, I one-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • Defy the Worlds (Constellation #2) by Claudia Gray — I have the first book, but haven’t gotten to it yet…but apparently I wishlisted book 2, because I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $9.99.  One-clicked!  No longer on sale.
  • Baking Me Crazy (Donner Bakery #1) by Karla Sorensen — This is a Book Bonanza attending author, and she posted in the Facebook attendees group that this book was free from its usual $4.99, and since I enjoyed the audiobook (see my review here) I grabbed it!  No longer free.
  • The Trouble with Dating Sue (Grover Beach Team #5) by Anna Katmore — I’ve enjoyed the first 2 books in this series, so I wishlisted the rest.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was free from its usual $6.99, I pounced on it.  No longer free.
  • The Cowboy Meets His Match (The Carmody Brothers #1) by Sarah Mayberry — I still have a NetGalley ARC of this one…you know, the year of 2018, where I failed to keep up.  But I follow this author on eReaderIQ, so when I got an alert that this book was free from its usual $3.99, I one-clicked (figure at least it gets the verified purchase badge then).  No longer free.
  • Bound to the Battle God (Aspect and Anchor #1) by Ruby Dixon –Curly Carla enjoyed this one (see her review here), so I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for 99 cents from its usual $4.99, I snagged it!  Still on sale!
  • The Guinevere Deception (Camelot Rising #1) by Kiersten White — I was looking around for more retellings for the bingo, and while I was wishlisting this author’s Frankenstein retelling, I noticed this one and thought — OH hey!  King Arthur is another square!  And since it’s like only $1.99 from its usual $10.99 right now, I pounced!  Still on sale!
  • Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli & Aisha Saeed — Was I looking for more diversity books?  Why yes.  Did I noticed that this was on sale for $2.99 from its usual $11.99?  Also yes.  Did I one-click?  You bet your ass I did.  Still on sale!
  • Say You’ll Remember Me by Katie McGarry — This book had just come out when I met Ms. McGarry at Apollycon in 2018, so I wishlisted it.  So when I got an eReaderIQ alert that this book was on sale for $1.99 from its usual $7.99, I one-clicked!  Still on sale!

  1. You got SO many good books this week! I read The Dare, Dirty Charmer, Varsity Heartbreaker, Always a Bridesmaid, and Jock Blocked. I LOVED them all! I’ve also read Say You’ll Remember Me. It’s not my all time fave of hers, but I did really like it.
