A sexy, swoony new Standalone rom-com from USA Today Bestseller Lili Valente...

Some men are troublemakers or dealmakers. The men in my family? We're baby makers.

For six generations, the women of wine country have had a saying: don’t bang a Hunter man unless you want a bun in your oven.

Yeah, well. I’ve got a saying too: no thanks. The last thing I need is baby makes three. My business is expanding and the only thing I’m interested in getting knocked up is my bottom line.

But then one night Emma Haverford makes me an offer I can’t refuse—she backs away from the land I have my eye on in exchange for a favor…

A big, fat, baby making favor…

******

When I hear women have gotten pregnant shaking hands with Hunter men, I know I need Dylan Hunter’s…ahem, special skills…way more than I need to expand my vineyard.

I’m ready to give my heart to a child and I’m tired of waiting for my late-to-the-party Prince Charming to make my dreams come true. So I promise Dylan—three months of hot, heavy, baby-making s-e-x and then I’m out of his hair forever.

But what if when it comes time to say good-bye, all I want to do is keep bottling up more memories with this big-hearted man?

This sexy Standalone romance will make you laugh, swoon, and blush baby-makin' red. Heat level: A risk of getting knocked up during download. Paperback and audio versions are especially dangerous. Handle with care...

My Review:

4 stars — You know what?  This was just what I was in the mood for.  It was light, the conflict wasn’t huge and didn’t drag on.  It had characters that were genuinely likeable, and it made me laugh.  Success!  Was it perfect?  Eh, no, there were little things here and there that tweaked me…but I find I was able to just push those things aside and enjoy myself.

Emma was a pretty fun heroine.  She was genuinely a pretty good person, and I loved that she had a coding background and wanted to encourage young girls to explore that as well (speaks to my heart, wish I’d had an Emma when I was a kid).  I appreciated what she had gone through with her ex, and how it had shaped her.  As someone who doesn’t want children, I didn’t always get her desperation, but I at least understood it enough to empathize.

And I know everyone loves the bad boy or whatever, but give me a Dylan any day of the week, and you’ll find a happy Lenore.  He was pretty sweet, kind, caring…just a *good* guy.  He loves his family, takes care of them, looks out for them, at the expense of his own dreams.  He wasn’t what I was expecting at all.  I loved that there was a bit of a romantic in his heart, he was just kind of adorable.  I will admit I didn’t always get the depths of his avoidance of commitment, but like Emma, I understood enough to just go with it.

And OMG, they were so cute together!  I mean, yes, they were also hot together — chemistry for days!  But it was all the fun flirty coupley stuff that had me just swooning all over the place.

I enjoyed getting to see the Hunter family a bit, though I’m less excited for Rafe’s story…can’t wait to check out Tristan’s though!  I can definitely see checking out future books.

This was my first read from this author, and I was pretty happy with how much I enjoyed it!  Definitely someone to check out in the future when I want something light and happy.

  1. I just went and one clicked this based on your review. I think I’m going to try it after the book I’m reading. It sounds fun, even if it wasn’t perfect! Great review!
