Announcing the Summer of LOVE Event!

What what??!!  I’m teaming up with Lillian from Mom With a Reading Problem and Stephanie from Once Upon a Chapter to bring you the SUMMER OF LOVE!!!

What Is It?

A Summer Reading Event focused almost exclusively on contemporary romance reading.  There will be biweekly Buddy Reading Wednesdays, weekly reviews from each of us, and biweekly Zombie Friday to mix things up!

When Is It?

It starts June 21st (the first day of SUMMER!) and runs for 12 weeks until September 11th.

How Does It Work?

Sign up below to get in on the fun.  Then go forth and read ALL the contemporary romance (YA, Adult, Erotica — whatever gives you a summer pick me up).  Reviews are optional, but encouraged.

What To Expect From Us:

UPDATE 7/22: We’ve had to push things back a week, so instead of July 23rd being the next Zombie Friday, it will be July 30th.  And the Buddy reads have been updated below.

• Look for a review from each of us EVERY week.  Check out Stephanie’s reads on Mondays @Once Upon a Chapter, mine right here on Tuesdays, and Lillian’s reads on Thursdays @Mom With a Reading Problem.
• Every second Wednesday, starting June 30th, we will be sharing buddy read reviews!  Please feel free to read the books as well and share your thoughts in the comments.  We’ll be doing a joint review for the YA books (*), and those will be posted exclusively @Mom With a Reading Problem.  Here is the schedule:

• And just to mix things up and throw in some chaos, every second Friday, starting June 25th, will be ZOMBIE FRIDAY!
  Basically, I wanted to finally reread and finish the Love & Decay series by Rachel Higginson (that is now completely complete and all in KU I believe), and I roped Lillian and Stephanie into it with me.  We thought it would provide some contrast to all the contemporary romance reading.  We would love for you all to join us on our read-a-long if it interests you.  We don’t have a set schedule — there are 3 main seasons plus a spin off season, and each season has 12 episodes.  Each episode is between 50-150 pages (usually under 100).  We figure some weeks will be busier than others, but in general we’re aiming for a few episodes every other week.  We definitely won’t finish by the end of the Summer of Love, but we’re going to have fun trying.  We’ll post our progress and thoughts every second Friday, and we’d love for you to comment with your thoughts as well.

What Do I Get?

A summer full of love.  Oh yeah, and there are prizes.  😛  Two prizes, each a book of your choice from Book Depository (up to $30 USD).
